What is the rudest thing someone has said to you as you have been planning your wedding??
You know even one has an opinion...especially when you don't ask for it!
Here is mine...The Swan Club has like 5 weddings going on at the same time...everyone is falling all over each other! Completely not true!
Oh and then someone else said that my church is really ugly!
Nice right??

When finding out that I am having NO group dances (i.e., electric slide, chicken dance, etc.) I was told that NO ONE WILL DANCE THEN!!!!

My cousin is getting married 2 weeks before me. (engaged after me) His mother said to my mother after they booked:'Well, they've been together longer than your daughter and her FH'
Sooooo, does that mean my wedding doesn't count as much as their's !?!?!?!?!?

My dad actually said he was taking bets on how long it would take before the wedding turned into something on Jerry Springer ( based on a drunk mishap with our best man) and I snapped-by the way-dad belongs on the show all alone

'Is this your first marriage?'These are strangers asking me this!! Numerous times!
I'm the first girl in my family to actually graduate from college and not be married with kids by 20. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not for me.)

Re: What is the rudest thing someone has said to you as you have been planning your wedding??
My mom told me that my FH and I need a car to be alone in after the church, I told her it cost's extra and besides we don't have the money for three cars. She felt wanting to be with our entire BP after the wedding vows was silly and that we have the whole night to hang with everybodyThen I get why did you pick John's church and not ours, 'Well maybe if the deacon would of called me back instead of waiting three weeks to hear from him'
Come on people, if I wanted your opinion I would of ask for it.
Then my dad starts on what food I should get because he wants it, forgeting who is the one getting married. May I remind you dear old DAD, you were married TWICE.
I feel better now!!!!!!!!

Re: What is the rudest thing someone has said to you as you have been planning your wedding??
Let's see, mine haven't been too bad, but have pissed me off nonetheless. My mom and FMIL when I started looking at gowns in June:
'Why are you in a rush? You have plenty of time!!' Umm did it ever occur to you that gowns on average take about 6-9 months to come in??
My mother this past weekend: 'I don't like your veil, it's not poofy enough, and you should get one of those things with the flowers on top with the headband' My response: 'Mom, this is not 1986'
I also hate when people say 'you have plenty of time to worry about it' when I talk about purchasing certain things. Maybe I just want to get all the small crap out of the way NOW so that it's less money to fork over later when all the final payments are due!!

Re: What is the rudest thing someone has said to you as you have been planning your wedding??
My parents (mainly my mother) said they didn't like my idea of naming the tables as candies (M&Ms, sweedish fish, jordan almonds, etc) and having the candy of that table out for munching. They said that those candies will look cheap and 'common'. Everyone else thought it was a cute idea, including my FM!

Lets see...First I got 'Oh i heard that place is expensive, you are crazy spending that much money it's one day' (
Did I ask her to pay for it?
)Then I got 'Why are you ordering your dress now, your wedding is 8 months away' (that came from someone who odviously has NO clue!)
