no -but neither did the hilton! For another 10 bucks a room your guests (whether one two or four people in a room) would get a continental or for 15 bucks everyone would be given a coupon for a full breakfast buffet - instead of getting a seperate room---my mom is going to pay the 15 bucks for every room we have so no one pays for that - and also - they can go down and eat when they want

ok...where is the fairfield marriott? I'm trying to picture it! Also, what rate did they give you and did it include breakfast?

Ok here's the scoop on the Fairfield:

We had to guarantee the minimun of 10 rooms (very easy for any of us)
It includes continental breakfast

Rates are $109 for a single (one king size bed) and $129 for a double (two king size beds) per night not including tax

Parking is $10.00 per day

It's located on Rockaway Blvd and the Conduit ( I think South Conduit).

The whole hotel only has a total of 120-150 rooms btw...it's not as large as some of the others.

They are also providing transportation for guests to and from Russo's the day of the wedding.

Also sorry it took me so long to get back to you on everything I was so busy I didn't get a chance to log in yesterday.

thanks so much...I needed a bigger hotel as I have 75 rooms on block...and will probably be adding more! Fairfield isn't big enough! Again, thanks for sending me the info. BTY..are you guys doing the after party at Russo's?

No after party for us.. we're having both the ceremony and the reception there- FH and I are going to be 'driving off into the sunset' so to speak back to the hotel- the next day we're leaving out of JFK to go to our HM.

I figured with so many people that you'd need more rooms.. least the info is there so some other bride can take advantage of it.

Btw- I just noticed that you're only a few days after me on getting married.. first other Russo's March 08 bride I met here on LIW..lol

Wow...we are leaving the next day also...in the afternoon! I'm so excited! There is another Russo's bride that i met on here..but I forget when her wedding is - I think it's February! Did you read the post for the almanac - someone got their hands on it and posted the weather...let me know if you want me to tell you! I hope it's not true! Also-what room are you guys in at Russo's? We are in the Rennaissance!

We're doing the Tivoli room- I love the idea of coming up through the floor in the elevator.

Everyone keeps saying to me...oh russo's - that's where you come up in the elevator - I keep saying yeah yeah..but we are not...we're behind a screen and the stairs come out onto the dance floor! Totally awesome setup! Thank God it's not 100% accurate..I'd cry!!! Who are you guys using for DJ, photo & video and flowers? You can just FM me if u want!

Lol I get the same thing - most though don't know about the elevator- we only told a select few people about it.

I love the idea of the Ren room but we'd never be able to meet the minimum for it.

We're using mostly Russo's vendors (they seem to be giving us the most bang for our buck) with the exception of our florist.

I'd really cry if it was 100% accurate (the almanac).

They do do cake tasting but i think it is a couple of weeks before the wedding when you are finalizing everything. call kelly to set up an appt, she is soo nice and helpful. There is also a wedding expo in russo, sept 12, call to get your name on list, they are really nice and they have food, drinks and give-aways bags.

they told me they wouldnt provide transportation for the guests...i had such a had time dealing with them - they sent me ruined direction cards not once but TWICE AND they have a typo on them!! we decided not to use that hotels - instead we are using the holiday inn right by the airport
