I wanted to go but really FH and I have no reason to go unless we go to make a payments (ironically they are usually due the same day as their showcases!!)

We've just been too busy though... we are going to be going back to finalize everything on February 17th though so I'll update you ladies then on things!

Hi Ladies,
I am a new Russo's Bride I booked my wedding for 2/14/2010. If anyone has any helpfull tips with anything would be wonderful.

I do need Florist advise since I am getting married on Valentine's day flowers are going to coast me a pretty penny. I am freaking out. It's like what ever I saved by booking in February instead of October at Russo's I am goingto spend on Flowers & I really don't want to do that. =(

Definately stay away from ROSES! since thats what everyone buyss during valentines day. im sure there are a lot of other options you can do that won't make ur flower bill over the top. speak to a couple of florists and see what they can suggest.

I am getting married at Russos on Dec 19, 2008...:) Please include me...lol

For flowers I am using Adriana, the inhouse decorator. Although I am staying away from flowers, she is coming up with other ideas for us. Although we will be using flowers for the bridesmaids and me...

I'm using Flower Michele which is right across the street from Jericho Terrace- they came highly recommended and also beat the Russo's suggested vendors in price. Our sample centerpiece is in my album if you want to peek at it.

thank you all for your suggestions. I already know to stay far away from Roses. I am just upset because I spoke to two different florist who basically told me I am screwed with picking V-day to get married. The florist I really wanted won't even do my wedding since it's his biggest day of the year & can't worry about a wedding. I will call the florist you have suggested. Any other tips or advice you ladies have I am all ears to lol. Thanks

There are so many diffrent flowers other than roses that look so unique and pretty.

By the way the irony of it all is that we used all Russo's suggested vendors with the exception of our florist... if you need any assistance feel free to FM me

We're doing a DJ (from SoundCheck Entertainment) but I think Mizzdimple is doing a band of theirs as well- not sure on the name though.

I think they have The Projeckt (not sure of spelling) and Paris.. both are pretty good but I went with a DJ because of the cost thing ..lol

I am having Classis Sounds. They usually perform at their showcases and are amazing....

Def try meeting with Adriana. You tell her your price limit and she works around that.

You have to be able to blend in with whatever crowd is there that particular night- I posted about my tasting if you go back on the thread a few pages... it should give you an idea of what to expect- all I have to say is go hungry!

I finalized everything with Russo's yesterday by the way ladies and I chose my cake!

It looks like hearts stacked up ontop of one another - they call it 'Amore'. We're doing the Napolean cake as the filling and all and I just want to eat some NOW!!.

I am so super excited and I can finally start doing my tables (I have mine done just FH has to do his .. hahaha to him )


I can't wait for less than three more weeks!

Also because we're getting married they gifted us this really awesome looking chest with wine (both red and white), crackers, cheese, fruits and nuts, olives, and two wine glasses in it as well.

FH went and opened it before I can take a picture of it to post I'll get a picutre of the chest though once I put all the stuff inside the fridge.

Also I had a LIW bride sighting- I happened to be there when Sexidevilgrl was getting married!! I saw her for like a milisecond (I didn't peek because that's rude) but everyone was so happy!!

Hey Bebeelly I believe their off months are only January - March (hence im getting married in March LOL)
