We have two songs that we are going between for the first dance. Both mean something to us in their own way so its been VERY hard to pick, especially since he's leaning towards Chicago's Insiration and me towards Nick Lachey's This I Swear. We haven't decided on much else in terms of music. We do know the cake cutting song will be the theme song from the King of Queens because that is our absolute favorte show and it kind of describes our lives at the moment. The parent songs have been hard to pick too but I think I am going to do My Little Girl by Steve Kirwan and he is going to do a traditional song his mom is picking. The opening song for the elevator and bridal party is actually a custom made intro using a few different songs and some voiceovers that we did talking about our relationship as the elevator goes up and down. Its actually really cool and our dj recorded it for us in his studio. He is doing the final edits now so I should have it this week! I'm so excited!

Hi Jessica, Welcome! I still feel new to all this myself so don't worry.

Ladies I nkow I have lots of time but I went to Pronovias new Flagship store in NYC yesterday & had so much fun. If anyone hasn't gotten there wedding gown yet you really should go check out this store.

Since last summer before I was engaged I have been going to Bridal stores with my best friend who will be married this August. So I went through the experiance with her & we both wished this store was opened when she was looking for her gown.

The store is so beautiful & the prices are even nicer. Don't get me wrong some gowns are pretty up there in price but almost every dress I picked to try was under $2000.00 & I really couldn't believe it. The fabrics & styles were absolutely gorgeous. The best part of it all is that Alterations are 'complimentary' I couldn't believe it.

My best friend is paying about $350.00 extra just on alterations.

I am going to go to another store to just try on dresses from different designers, just to have the whole experiance, but I feel in love with Two dresses & I want to know what you ladies think.

So that is the Dango my first pick, but then I found this dress in the store & now I am unsure. This next dress is called Davis by Pronovias. I am starting to think this dress would work better in February then the Dango. What do you Ladis think.

KRIS!!! sorry i wasnt checking this thread and didnt realize all the pics you had posted! I LOVE THE DAVIS DRESS!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!! it looks AMAZING ON U! and the bolero jacket for the church SOOOOO CUTE! i never even thought of that!

the Dango is also BEAUTIFUL. I love the bottom part of the dress. but i LOVE the way the Davis looks on you the BEST! ITS SOOOOO DREAMY! lol mind you that I love 'fairytale, princess, long flowy' dresses so dont go by just my opinion! lol

Hi all,

Welcome to all the new girls. Sorry I have been MIA but I feel like I have had so much to do. I want to try and answer all the questions that I have missed. First off Congrats to all the girls who have gotten married in the passed couple of weeks. I actually had my tasting at Russos a couple of weeks ago. It was great, make sure you go hungry. Also the lights go out at one point but it is only becaue they are opening the vianeese (or however you spell it) hour to one of the parties going on that night. I had Luis for my waiter and he was absolutely wonderful and answered all of our questions.
AS for vendors I am using:
DJ-CLassie Sounds
Florist- Russos inhouse decorator Adriana
Video/Photog - Romeos (They are in Staten Island). We are getting both a photojournalist photographer and traditional. I met with some of Russos vendors and liked them the best. I have been in a wedding where Riccardo was the Photo (not Video). If you want details fm me.

Limo - not sure yet but will prob just go with Designer Limos
Hair/makeup- not sure yet

AS for my dress I also bought a Pronovias. Pictures are in my album under My Dress, not sure how to post on here. I absolutely loved the service I got there and they where all so so so nice.IT was so much fun. I can not wait to go back in October for my first fitting. Samantha was my Bridal rep and she was amazing. Plus the other girls who worked there where so friendly and helpful.

Right now I am working on my STD (they would have been out already if my mother would ever give me her guest list.). Also going over to JFK to check out the hotels. I am so worried about how much the shuttle will cost. I am sure I will have close to100 people staying there and that means I would need 4 shuttles at $250 each, ouch. I was thinking of maybe contacting bus companies and seeing how much they would charge. My friend had a coach bus shuttleing people for hers and I think she might have paid only $700, not sure though.

Hopefully tomorrow I will go shopping for my bridesmaid dresses.
