Re: Official 40+ Brides
Right now I have nothing going on. I booked my Pre-cana for May 1 and 2 and I have classes for work 3 Saturdays a month till the end of June. So right now I am not doing much. I am kind of concentrating on that class , I need it to pass my civil service test for my title.Oh- but 1 day the week of Easter I am going to go try on a dress I fell in love with at Davids bridal with my SIL/MOH. That I am looking foward to.
Anyone else? Or is everyone in limbo right now too

Re: Official 40+ Brides
Haven't done any planning in the past few months
I'm such a procrasternator
. I keep changing my mind about things so I'm trying to hold off until the last minute. The only thing we have completely booked is Rh and h/mu. Picked out invites and decided on officent just waiting to hear back if they are available. I'm sure in November I will be popping zanax from a pez dispenser

Posted by Ray8183Thanks, for the married brides what was the one thing you had at your wedding to eat that you wish you had seconds on? As you can guess I'm hungry.
Posted by sophisticat13
I didn't do crypacks or bathroom baskets either...but my RH had the bathroom baskets already, so you gals can always ask them if they provide any. Crypacks...well I just think they're not necessary. I was stressed and didn't want to take on another project lol. No slipper baskets for me either...

hi again.
seconds??? oh EVERYTHING!!!
we decided to go to CH to see everyone and of course eat something. our attendant sat us down and said she'd get us plates, which she did but it's not the same as going around and picking stuff yourself. we saw most of what they served in our pics!!! and so many people stopped by our table that it took the whole time to eat 5 bites. so if you plan on going to CH - - go to the bridal suite first for a few minutes and eat something before.
Based on the CH I ordered the tilapia cause I figured it would be quicker eating, which it was. but DH got the steak and raved about it and I missed the server as she went around with seconds. oh well.
the pastries and chocolate fountain got missed too. just too many things to be doing and people to be with. something had to suffer.
now I'm hopelessly waiting for an invite back to Larkfield to sample everything else I missed.!!!!

I've said that to him and he went into a whole speech on not listening to what he wants, plus the kicker is, if I get the ring he likes the more he can spend on me. I thought that was the stupidest thing he could have said, but again if that is what he wants that what he will get. I am passed it. Some groom just like simple things. I am hoping there are more grooms like him or did I find last one.

That's the funny part. I would be the one cleaning it. He doesn't see or think thsat way. Our e-party is in September and what he wanted for the food was no veg, BBQ chicken, hambuger/beef, pasta, and bread. See simple, as of right now I have the memu on hold this is not a something I need to win. I just ststaed, ok, we will have qaa tasting and vote then. Here the biggest kicker of all both of our parents are in the 70s mark and our brothers and sisters only care the day of. It takes him a while to understand the planning. My life is a sitcom.

I was just reading what your FH wanted for your e-party and I have to laugh. That is my FH whole diet!! That is pretty much all he eats.
My life a sitcom??? I guess its a sitcom/drama. I have so much drama with the wedding from my parents that I have to laugh, otherwise I would spend my whole engagement crying. I am getting so tired of my mom saying 'Well if thats what you want, its your wedding' Yes this is what I want mom!!!!

I understand, that sounds like my mom. When I went to JT showcase with my FMIL. All she keep asking me was What do you think or Will Charlie like it. When i read how execite other brides' moms were can't relate because both our moms will listen to me and the next sentence well do whatever you like or it your wedding. As for both of our sisters, they know the date, but just don't care. My youngest sister who made 40 all she tell me is okay. So it's my LIW sister who i talk to. See i cqan vent too.

OMG! Was your mom and my mom seperated at birth???
My mom does exactly that. The only thing she is excited about is making the CP for the RH.The biggest thing that upsets me is that I have not gotten any acknowledgement about my engagement, Not even a card, never mind a present. Its like since I was married before I dont get anything for this wedding. It kind of hurts.
Anyway this is why I love this thread, you can relate to certain things that other brides on here cant.

You are not alone. At one point was thinking of asking one of you to come with me dress shopping, so i was not alone and it may still come to that. The funny thing is FH say he would take me shopping, that put a smile on my face. I told him I love you, but you can only pick up and drop off.

Re: Official 40+ Brides
It seems like its a little harder with our families for us older brides. I had gone dress shopping back in Nov, just to look. My mom didnt come with my SIL and I because she wont get in the car with me. She says she is nervous in cars, which I know, but she will get in everyone and their mothers car but not mine. I think its becuse i only have my lic for 5 years and she still thinks of me as a new driver. So we went without her. Sure I want my mom with me but if she wont drive with me thats her loss.Welcome New Vendors
