It seems like its a little harder with our families for us older brides. I had gone dress shopping back in Nov, just to look. My mom didnt come with my SIL and I because she wont get in the car with me. She says she is nervous in cars, which I know, but she will get in everyone and their mothers car but not mine. I think its becuse i only have my lic for 5 years and she still thinks of me as a new driver.So we went without her. Sure I want my mom with me but if she wont drive with me thats her loss.

I understand, but with follow brides I won't listen to the judging. I never thought i would get marry, but i never dream how my family is not there. My mom would ask what my plans for the weekend and mostly she wants to know if i am coming to see her. I speak to my mom three to five times a day. Do you know i get more excite aboyt other people weddings than my own.

That stink! I kinda feel the same way. So lets be excited for each others weddings!!!

Tell me why do I keep showing my mom things for my wedding? I just ordered my cake topper and I got that wonderful answer again. 'well I guess its ok, if thats waht you want'
Now she know that FH and I are bear fanatics and she could have said O thats cute or something like that.
Why do I keep showing and telling her things and getting my self aggrivated??

See I told you I would be happy for you. Do you think you will have more funny pics in your pictures. My FH and I love to laugh and crack jokes. We were looking at cake topper not to put on the cake but in from of it. He like the one were the groom is sitting on the floor and the bride is dragging him along. It's called 'Getting her man or He is final mine.' I think his mom going to hate because she is old fashion. Every time I come up with ideas think she doesn't like, she says, I have to se it. My answer is always the same well it up to Charlie. I like the one where the bride jumps in his arms and they are kissing passionately. We are putting a lot of our personality in the wedding so she won't be happy. As for my mom she will laugh and say that's Renay.

There are really good posts here of must-take photo lists....it's a good idea, photogs know some of the photos to take but not everything. One of my friends who got married gave me and another friend a disposable camera and a list of some photos to take (plus another list to her photog) to make sure she was covered.

I like that idea. Celia, look in my album I have some must take. I will be add to the list because I have to have a picture of everyone in the CH and I want a picture of everyone at the tables. I am taking all my pics with FH before the wedding, so for the reception there will a few we have to take with family, but the most of the pictures will be of the families.

Renay- I love the first pic but I am so afraid if I try that I will break his back.
Between my weight and his back problems.... not a good idea!!!

Don't feel bad, i'm a plus size lady and he doesn't have strong knees, but I love that picture. i don't we will take it but I might changes it to something we can do. I think that picture is priceless, plus both families will fall on the floor.

Oh yay!!! Thank you Kristen. This is great, I notebooked it. I havent gotten my dress yet. i went looking in Nov, tried on a few. The one I loved in the store, I hated when I saw the pic of me in it. The one I hated in the store, I thought... maybe. Easter week I am going to take a day off and go try dresses on with my MOH. I have about 6 picked out to try. We will see what happens then.

You're welcome...isn't the notebook feature great?! It's funny, I had a similar experience...I tried on dresses I wasn't sure about and they look totally different on then they do on the hanger...I guess it just goes to show you that we have to try to be open minded lol

I think they have skinny mirrors in the stores. Because looking in the mirror I though OMG this dress makes me look great. But the pics make me look like the big woman I am.
The pics of those dresses are in my album. Its the 2nd dress that I thought looked great in the mirror but didnt like in pics
