Re: Official 40+ Brides

Wow that is something. I notice on the board the question of having an eparty or not. I did want to answer it because is different when you are older. I having one because I've notice more and more that my FH and I are going to more furnel than celabrations. So to make both parents happy we are doing it. So my question is is there something you are doing for the family at the wedding that at first you were against?

Re: Official 40+ Brides

They havent asked me to do anything special. The only thing is that my mom did want to make the CP's (she loves crafts) and I am not really thrilled with them but to keep her a part of the wedding (what little she is involved in) I made like they were the most beautiful CP's I have ever seen and I am letting her do them. Otherwise its all us.
(This would be a great QOTD!)

That's a good question...I had to think about that one. I don't think there was anything. We pretty much had our wedding, our way and our parents were not demanding about anything.

BTW I also saw the eparty post and I answered it...I just said that we were on our own for a while and didn't need anything, also that we had a short engagement (7 mos) and it seemed wrong to ask friends and family to give us up to three gifts in that time span (I had a bridal shower).

[/QUOTET]That's how I felt too. Then life took over. We were in engage in Feb 2008 and we want to get married Nov 2008. Then both mom health came intp play. Then we had to find a place to live and brought the house in Oct. So the wedding was put on hold. Then both us started changing what we really wanted for the RH. We had the Coral House but had to cancel for the above reasons and now we want Flowerfeild. We can't put any money on it now because of family legal issues. Life is so much fun.

Thanks but we won't book the later until later. That was one of the reason we gave in a had the epic instead. Look on the bright side if it's less than a year we will get a better discount. I have everything else but the RH. Don't worry we will get a beautiful place. My date isn't the most popular.

We are there Sat and it was still open. We are still going to look at their other places. I am not giving up. All we really want is a place that have water e.g. lake, beach, pond, etc. That's why Coral House was the first place we look at. We don't care about the garden because it a late Nov wedding.
