Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Do they set up another bar in the foyer? Or is it something you have to request?

It's fuzzy, but do you see it in the back there?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

I'm in Heaven - that song that Brian Adams used to sing.... That's our song, how great will this be? Looking up at that?

Here's another picture of the inside bar area - so nice.

I wonder why FT has silver candleabras - don't you think they should have gold ones?

I am thinking of even buying 10 gold candleabras just to get them cheaper than a florist will get them for me!

Denise- I wish I could go but for me it would be pointless...I don't need to book any vendords considering I already have mine done..THe main reason for going to the showcase was so that my FMIL & MOH could see the place with something going on...I really want to meet up with you guys too...Are you going to attend the 2006 G2G??? I will be at that as long as we still hold it on the 26th of Feb

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Yep - let's discuss it next week.

I started the photog. search.

I fell in love with Code Bleu - but I can't afford it. I also fell in love with something that LCA productions produces for the reception - a montage that looks like its in frames - so cool.

Does anyone know if the FT would bring up extra cocktail tables and chairs and set them up in the foyer - like a spot to come outside and relax (for older folks)...I like the idea of having a lounge-type space for my 350 guests

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Does FT automatically include an ice sculpture during the cocktail hour? Or is it an extra?

my ice sculpture was included and we had a couple of designs to choose from. ask them if they can throw it in so you won't be charged. my BM was Marianne

Hmmm.... I THINK it's my contract but not sure. No matter what, if you want it, they'll try to make it happen, just have it in the contract.

The ice sculpture wasn't a big thing for me so I didn't even think twice about it.

Good Luck!

We are not. We have been to so many weddings with it and have always said 'I wish we could just bring some home!' The good thing with FT, is that they give people bags (or you can bring them in) and they can do JUST THAT!

However, we (and I mean FH and FMIL) did not want to extend the party past midnight. We have a LOT of OOT guests who will probably drive home. We will have some that will stay and am hoping to secure the Wingate Inn at a good price (they have the bar that they can keep open). So we were against the V-hour. We are thinking of extending the wedding from 11:30 to midnight, but it isn't essential and just drives up your DJ/Band cost.

Instead of the V-hour, we are doing the Vienese 3-tier platters on every table. And we are doing the NYC to Go package, which is they set up coffee, pretzels and hot nuts down in the lobby. You get your coat, go to the Valet and you pick up your goodies! Since we have a 1940's Broadway NYC theme, it's my fav. part. I am also thinking of having my favors down there instead of upstairs...that way it's all set to go... Although they give you bags to put all that stuff in, I was thinking of buying personzlized paper bags so that they can throw it all in....
