i did - just hoping someone could take a pic and post it next time they are there.
i was thinking of having more of a non-flower candelabra for 1/2 my tables instead of flowers. my 30 tables is killing me.
I am having 30 tables also and it does add up!!!
In my opinion,,because the ballroom is very big..I feel that it needs tall and full centerpieces to finish the look..so thats why I went with the centerpieces that I posted...I feel that lower, smaller centerpieces will get lost in such a big ballroom..but again JMO
they might be on the website..take a look
yeah, i did but they aren't there --- i think they aren't what i am looking for anyways... i'll talk to some florists I guess. I am really ocnflicted.
IMO, I think the lower ones look good esp. since the ceilings are so low - i am more concerend with a lot of candlelight!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I dont remember the ceilings being so low??I guess because the way the ceiling is in the middle of the dance floor is what sticks out in my mind...
Definitly having candle's..... looks beautiful..
Good luck,,hope you find what your looking for...

They are definitely low. The raised dance floor has that alcove into the ceiling. But the rest of the place is low - by where we sit, the ceiling actually curves down and you can touch the 'ceiling' - almost like a rounded attic.
I was there with some high and it almost took away from the ceiling. So I want something that will complement and bring your eye 'up there' without breaking the bank!
Thanks - I shall be looking! I need to go play with a florist and come up with something good....and not so costly. Paying for this wedding myself is very difficult, so you have to be practical!
Have a good weekend!

Completely agreed leese....At the wall points in the room, you actually can touch the ceiling...
I happened to LOVE nov.bride's centerpieces that she had...I am doing something very similiar but my centerpieces will be flush to the table....I didn't want to take away from the entire ambience of the room with tall centerpieces...
It surely is a personal decision & with so many tables & centerpieces I didn't want to be spending $100 or more on a high centerpiece that I was not 100% thrilled with....Everyone has their own vision of what they want on their wedding day & I guess I am just a simple girl

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Your absolutely right,,it is a personal decision and we all have a vision of what we want the ballroom to look like on the day of our wedding...I happen to be a fan of full high centerpieces with candles and I love the look it gives when you first walk into the room, especially with the lights being dim.Not to say that low centerpieces wont look beautiful as well. My cousin had low centerpieces with candles when he got married at the FT and they were gorgeous..And if money is playing a big part in your decision then you have to do what you can do..without breaking the bank
I look forward to seeing what you all choose

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Yes...Money is HUGE for me. I am glad I got SUCH A GREAT DEAL at FT because I seriously couldn't had afforded to have a wedding of my 'dreams'...cheesey as that sounds! But it's interesting because some of the florists have been telling me that it's not the high versus low that is costly, but rather how much effort goes into it. Some of the low I like are JUST as expensive as the high ones I like too!
Anyways, I just think that the FT is gorgeous. We can all agree to that!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
New Question:Does FT have a sound system that pumps in music to the Cocktail Hour...or do we need to have a DJ/Performer do that.
I don't want to pay for CH if the FT will play music. I just can't remember!!!
TIA!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
You know, I am not 100% sure but I am not hiring anyone for the cocktail room....In my opinion even if there is not a system, my guests will be concentrating too much on eating, they would not even realize if there was music!!!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hi i am actually thinking about getting married at the Floral Terrace and was reading the comments...and rumor has it that the plans are under way for a new and improved bathroom :)My favorite quality were the gardens-i loved how the gardens could be used for early arrivers to have a drink before cocktail-TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY!!!--Hopefully my FH will agree with me-its between floral terrace and the sand castle--the only thing is the sand castle has an outdoor garden and the rising dais and me and my FH suddenly appearing from the other side of the wall-def very different!...soo im still debating..wish me luck!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
welcome Mary111, the FT is absolutely gorgeous...My brother had his reception at the Sandcastle & that was beautiful also...In my opinion even though it is the same owners, they are major differences between the two...The major factor for us was the '1 wedding' at a time...I didn't want to have to fight with another bride to have my pictures taken in the hall & what not! I hope you join us over at FT!!Which room are you considering at Sandcastle??? My brother had the upstairs room but that was before the renovations! It is absolutely gorgeous now with the wood...I don't think you can go wrong with either one of your choices!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Welcome Mary! My FH and I were looking at January too! But we went for March 25 instead. I hope you will become a permenant addition to our group. The sandcastle is very nice - but remember, you can take all the pics you want in the downstairs room of the FT --- even if it's a BLIZZARD outside!!
I'm so biased tho!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I booked Pedestals back in February & could not be happier....We booked our band last night 'the Projekt' We just have to sign the contract over the weekend...We only have limos left to do...I wanted to have everything done by the 1 year mark & it seems I will accomplish this
My dress came in & I went on Wednesday to try it on...They have to send it back to the factory bc it was too long & it was a custom measure dress...Only the manufacturer can do the alterations on the bottom due to the detail work...
Leese is going to FT on Monday, so I am sure she will report back on the bathrooms....How are you doing with planning??

I'm going on Monday - I'll take some more pix.I've booked SilverFox for photo and I'm searching around for florists and dj right now.
I'd like to get it all done by early spring so I can't focus on other things!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I am almost done I just ordered my invites and I am still looking for limos. I just had a little glitch a Jr. bm and the FG just canceled on me and now I am looking again. It is a good thing that I am keeping the BP very small. Question ladies is a 2yr old FG too young, my ring bearer is 5? Other than that everything has gone pretty good. I am actually going to FT until next month. So I was just asking but I definitely want to see what was done because I actually do not remember the bathrooms.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
In regards to your FG only being 2...I don't think it is too young...My FG will be turning 3 the day of the wedding...The way I am looking at it, is if she doesn't get down the aisle, I will have someone walk her down
