Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
When I was there, I saw that they had them on the first floor with a vase of flowers - actually they did that both times.I want to do my own, but I don't even like the idea of having them there because then you have to carry it all around.
I want to put it outside the reception room... that's just my preference, I think.
Hmm... we should make a big list of questions and then call Marianne!

I know they go downstairs which is ok with me, but I just don't want to put the cards in frames or anything like that...I want something different....I guess it is back to the drawing board for me!!
We should make a list & call Marianne...I vote you as the caller...You are the definate PR person here!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hi therewell I will be getting married at our fabulous FT.
I was reading about your place cards.I am actually doing them different. I want to place them either in front of the cocktail room or upstairs. still not sure but if you want a different way.....
I am getting calligraphy place cards. It is a tiny envelope with the guest name written on the outside. In the inside the number of the table also in calligraphy. I saw this in a favor and invitation shop in massapequa. which I thought it was so cute and different.
in the store they had them placed in a huge picture frame. The inside of the picture frame was fabric. they folded the fabric and made slits so the place card can be placed inside the picture frame. It was beautiful and different. The frame can be rented and I think you can change the fabric within the frame.
It is a little pricey but I have a wonderful mom, she is very crafty so we are actually make our own.
But you can stop by the store and see how it is. I wanted something different because all the weddings i have gone to the placecards were simple and placed in the lobby. I hope this sparks some idea good luck ladies.

OH you save alot of $ with calligraphy. What my mom did was she went to a thrift shop and looked around for a picture frame. She brought an oil painting for $10 dollars the painting is alright but she loved the frame. The frame is in gold and it has gold leaves around it. It was perfect for my autumn theme wedding.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
HIThis is a pix of my CP and when I showed Maryanne the pix she did say that I can use the candleabra's from he FT. I am going to bring them to my florist and see if they can use them...I honestly dont remember Marianne telling me that I had to rent them..she said I can just use them if I want.
They are similar to the ones in my pix, but I will make my final decision once I see the CP on the candleabra from FT and then on the candleabra from the Florist.

i did - just hoping someone could take a pic and post it next time they are there.i was thinking of having more of a non-flower candelabra for 1/2 my tables instead of flowers. my 30 tables is killing me.

I am having 30 tables also and it does add up!!!
In my opinion,,because the ballroom is very big..I feel that it needs tall and full centerpieces to finish the look..so thats why I went with the centerpieces that I posted...I feel that lower, smaller centerpieces will get lost in such a big ballroom..but again JMO
they might be on the website..take a look
