I will have to just make a special visit the day of your wedding to do some final things! Actually we can do our final payment that day!
It is really funny that we have gone through this entire thing...Wouldn't it be funny if you were still on your HM when I go on mine & we are in the same place!
OH MY GOSH!!!! That would be so awesome!!!! Esp. if we go to Italy first ---- Let's do it!!!
Our FH's are going to be like... you are planning a hoenymoon around a chat buddy friend? He'd die!

Yes, after we met PIZZ last night at the Showcase, he was like.. take your picture off the internet and stop posting (no offense to Pizz - he just can't get over getting recognized!).
FH NOW knows that I have a friend that is getting married the Friday afterwards! He still thinks I am crazy.
Went to the FT/Sandcastles Showcase. Definitely love the FT better. Talked to Royalty Limos which was good. I think we may go with them (but want to look at a couple more) and get one big bus and one small limo.
Umm, Silver Fox was not there and I was upset about that. Wasn't impressed with anyone else but there was a florist from queens that was funny... so I think I may go 'play' around in his shop and try out some of the ideas I have...probably in a couple of weeks or so.
I realllllly liked the guy from Body Rock...and they offer some of the things we want. But I want to check out Bravura because I think they are more our style.... we shall see!
Overall it was ok. I was not impressed with the 'prizes' they gave out - it was all like 'one free bridal bouquet' at such and such vendor... that means that you would have to use them for everything...so that was stupid.
But I got to meet PIZZ which was nice!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Royalty is great...My brother used them...I might use them but I have a limo company that rents space from my boss, so I will have to see what they can do first. They have always been good to me!Leese-I am glad you got to meet at least one of us! Frank must have been so thrilled!!! Sandcastle is nice but I agree I like FT better. My brother had his reception at the Sandcastle in 2003 & people still rave! I just love the whole ambience of FT better!
I am actually going to Pedestal's today to play with flowers...I will let my cousin know you might call him!
We definately have to meet soon! It is getting crazy considering we live so close too!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
well I got to play with flowers yesterday....Leese you are going to have so much fun doing this! One thing, I never though the color combos would actually go together & once I saw the visual, I was floored...I combined spring colors with fall....It is just amazing looking!I decided to add tulips to my centerpieces
( I know you would be thrilled leese)...I did not stick to my idea originally...I am going with a centerpiece that is flush to the table but it is very flowing, so it doesn't make the tables look as round as they are...Also I am accenting the centerpiece with votive candles..Very elegant looking! My bok, is roses & exotic callas...All in a mango color! the girls will have roses (black magic, red, mango, pale pink & lilac)....My mom is even carrying tulips!
The price was amazing!!! FH wants me to get another quote just so he knows I am getting a good deal (that is the salesman in him)

This sounds great! I am so happy for you!
I am maybe going to set up one tiny meeting this weekend with someone in huntington who offered to 'play' around with ideas for me... the reason i may go is because i might be meeting with a possible 'babysitting' job - it's in dix hills which is like 20 miles away but i can't find ANYONE closer and I need some spending cash... so i thought maybe i could kill two birds with one stone. I'll let you know if/how it goes.
Your flowers sound beautiful....and TULIPS are my new favorite. I don't care WHAT anyone says... I love flowers, I know they die, but its so important to me!!!!

Hotels...
I'm going to check out the GC Wingate a little bit more. But I do have some concerns over the price. I really wanted to have the cost be as close to $100 as possible. We are definitely doing the brunch afterwards and want to open up the bar. We are going to stay there and I think FH's mom will have a hospitality suite. Plus, we need to do a shuttle. The other thing that concerns me is that I need bigger shuttles. They offer a 14 passenger van...but I definitely need at least 60 spot type of bus. They said I can talk to one of their people to see what it would cost... but it may be cheaper to do a school bus or something... I'll have to look into that.
Anyone looking at any others?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I know the Marriott in Uniondale is just as close as the Wingate...FH & I have stayed at the Marriott & it was great...The rooms were so clean & BIG! I don't know how they do on price but it is worth checking out...I am not sure if they would do a shuttle though, you might have to contract that out!

Thanks - I think I may just have to contract out a shuttle anyway. Depending on how many people stay...
Let's just say I have 30 rooms with 60 guests (it's gonna be more I just know it). But I would need like 5 14 passenger vans. Or do two shifts of like 3 vans. I was thinking of that - one pick up at 5:50, the other at 6:10.
Ugh. But I remember that the wingate has one van and you can contract out with their approved person or something to do more at our cost.
I think I'm going to have to wait and see how many people actually sleep over! I wonder if they would provide the shuttle for my rehearsal dinner night too?! Hmm..that's a thought.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
you have too mant OOT
I don't really need the shuttle so that is why I will look into the Marriott & see what kind of deal I can get there! Ask them about your RD....do you know where you are going to have that??? I haven't even gotten to that point yet!
I am still on flowers

I am on a little of everthing. Everytime I'm like...I am just going to focus on THIS, I get swept into something else. I seriously go back in my head with ten things including; flowers, video, photog, dj, limos....hahaha
I have a feeling that I will end up being that person who books like all five in one shot and then has nothing to do for a year!

That would work! I just want to get these final things done...FH still hasn't decided on the band issue...I am going tomorrow night with my MOH to the Marriott to listen to Code Bleu & see what I get out of that...
I am hoping to book flowers by next weekend. I just want to know it is done, one less thing to stress over!
I found an invitation that I liked but not 100% on it. Once I figure that out, I have speak to my tenant at work about limos & see how that goes! Hopefully that will be easy!
I am excited for March though bc my dress should be in from the factory! I want to go try it on again! I miss it
I am still awaiting my diamonds too! I want to see what I actually won! I never win anything!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
I'm wondering if your diamonds are like the ones that bribri won at the woty. they were so pretty. Good Luck!I loved Code Bleu - Sean I think has been the one calling me like crazy. But I really really really would have had them. FH is all over the DJ and now that I want to maybe do a photo montage or something, I'd like to a DJ too.
But if you can do Code Bleu - go for it!
What does your dress look like? Oh my... I'm not even going to think about this at all!
