Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
hi FT girls!my wedding was at FT 8/28/04...you girls have nothing to worry about at all!! my BM was Marianne and she was amazing. my day was absolutely perfect. i don't think the word 'no' is even in their vocabulary! what i found pretty amazing was as soon as my limo pulled up in front of the FT, my BM and maitre'd were waiting outside for us. the bridal attendant was great also (forgot her name) she was by my side for anything i needed. everything ran so smoothly and all the guests were very happy with the food and service. if you have any questions feel free to FM me.

I also did Video (Candlelite) and I've had my Photog for a while (Silverfox)...Hotel will be the Wingate... Next is LIMOS (royalty is booked for my day!
)Anyways...what's up with all of you?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
ok....so on the other thread where it's like 'have you ever been to a wedding at....' someone just posted this yesterday.....to be honest, i've always been scared about the cocktail hour re: drinks... someone please remind me about this next march... i think i'm going to need another floating bar or something cause my guests would go nuts if they couldn't drink during cocktail hour!
We were just a two weddings in the past two weekends...
Floral Terrace: DH and I walk in and it has a pretty grand hallway (in an 'old school' way). I go to the ladies room and there is only a hand dryer and about 50 women in the bathroom.
The ceremony: room was very pretty. The ceremony was supposed to start @ 7:00. It didn't kick off until 7:45. A waiter was coming around taking drink orders when we first sat down for the ceremony- and then he never came back. No biggy but Dh (with the way he is) gave him $20 bucks..everyone else got drinks around us..oh well.
The cocktail hour: You have to walk a flight of stairs from the first level to the second level for the cocktail hour. We walked in and the bar wasn't even visible-there were so many people on line. There must have been at least 300 guests at this wedding and one bar with two bartenders. Dh and I kaboshed the drink idea and went straight for the food. So many stations. The food was excellent.
The reception: another flight of stairs.- which was fine, but I did hear some people complaining. A couple of older women said, 'who would do this to their guests??' We get into the reception room and it was absolutely beautiful. They had a band-something..St.Charles. They were great. Everyone danced.Food was great. The bar situation was much better in the room. The love table is so pretty. Oh and the best was that the bride and the groom had a platter of every entree served so they can have alittle of everything. There were no bathrooms on the reception level, so you had to go back down a flight of stairs every time. That definatly got alittle annoying. All in all it was a good time.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Forgive me too!!! Hi everyone. Been super busy. Just bought a house!!! We are very excited.Leese- keep one thing in mind...most cocktail hour rooms are SO SMALL in comparison to FT's, and I have seen that bar problem all the time in the cocktail hour rooms. I personally think it will be fine. But then again, I am only having 175 people....I believe you were having a lot more, right?
As for events being on different floors, I don't know about you guys, but that is what I loved about FT. It really makes you feel even more so like you are the only bride there. I can't imagine who would say 'wow, I had to walk up the stairs (or take an elevator) to the ballroom.' Especially when most halls' rooms are spread out from one another. So, you are either walking down a hallway or going up stairs. No biggie. Same for bathrooms too.
On that note, the bathrooms still concern me. Arianthe said they were being redone way back when, but it doesn't seem like they have been touched as of yet.
But, I know it will be great. We picked a great one people!!!!
