Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

I went for our food tasting in February (i think) it feels so long ago..They put us in a suite right by the CH room and they brought in sooooooooo much food. The waiter just kept coming in with more food. It was great. Me, fh, and our parents were there.

I looked on my contract and it says pasta, salad and Intermezzo...

Leese: call up, I am more than sure they will add it for you!

Hello floral ladies

How is the planning.

I have a little question
ARE THE BATHROOMS DONE?

To the 05 Girls
i wanted to know has anyone started their menu, tasting or their cake tasting. when does all the fun begin. I am so excited to get that part started. Then i will feel that our planning for a year is coming to a close and it is time to celebrate our marriage. I cannot wait!

HI!!!!!!! I spoke with Marianne and she told me that I have to go and fianlize our menu in September.

Hey Manhattan Woman - you know what I reallllllly want to know? How big the glasses are!!!!!

I was at a wedding last night and when i tell you i had the SMALLEst captain and coke ever...i'm serious. i finished it in three sips cause the glass was soooo small! i know i'm nitpicking but i couldn't believe it. plus it was so light that i was just pretty much drinking coke.

Ask them about the intermezzo... does it still come on the little wafers to people on the dance floor?! I'm so sad... need that.

Umm...besides the bathrooms... I'd just love to see pics again... aahhhh...love the floral terrace.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Just wanted to ad I was in a wedding at FT on Saturday night.

It was beautiful! I don't even like wedding reception halls (hence my backyard reception) but this place was very nice. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. We went down to the cocktail hour and I couldn't believe the spread! The guests were all very impressed with it as well. I had sea bass for dinner and loved it. The viennese hour was so fun! chocolate fountain, snow cones, crepes, cotton candy, the works! Guests LOVED that. All in all it was a great day and a fabulous night. Just thought I would share.

Actually you couldn't really see much of anything. You could see that there was a boat load of people in the cocktail room - but only make out the who the people were at the one table that was right in front where the camera was located.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

thanks for your post....

makes me even more excited for our big day!

I was at a wedding about a month ago (wont mention the name of the hall) and the guests were impressed with how much food was at CH (the most was 5 stations)..FH and I were giggling to ourselves because our CH at FT will be 4 times the size..

Gotta love the FT for the amount of food they offer!!!! ESPCECIALLY during CH...

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Hey fellow FT gals! Be prepared--very long!

Sorry for not responding to the food tasting question, but it was postponed and then I went to Italy ( with FMIL ) got back Saturday night and the food tasting of dinners was last night. We didn't get a chance to sample every dinner since the party going on was in the afternoon and not a wedding, but a 50th anniversary. I didn't taste, but ATE the whole filet mignon which was a HUGE portion and totally FANTASTIC! My FH tasted the stuffed filet of sole (afternoon choice), rack of lamb and chicken. He was pleased with it all. We also had the mozzarella caprese appetizer and a greek salad which was very good.

Bathrooms are still pink and black, but honestly I liked them from the beginning. They are kept very clean which to me is the most important and there's plenty of room for slipper baskets if you are doing that.

We almost finished our final , but have to still give Marianne (whom I love) a cake and menu picture.

Need help with cake! Any ideas???? I wanted mille foglia, but that would be hard with tiers since its very flaky and will probably collpase when we cut it.

I got my list and seating chart from Marianne. Goes to show the day will be here before I know it!

As for the rest of the planning, I have a ton of things still left to do. Gotta get our marriage license, choose the beading for my dress, my tiara from swarovski, shoes, wedding bands, parents gifts, FH gift, choose music for church, consult with the priest on the final readings etc, translate readings into greek and italian, make programs, call the singer and organist and trumpeteers, order the donation scrolls, etc.etc. and I have a million crafty things to do too!!!! Not to mention get my classroom ready for next week! UGH!!! I'm dying!

Calgon take me awayyyyyyyyyy..........

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

so glad to hear that everything went well with the food tasting...When we did ours, we had so much food I don't even remember what I did & didn't taste! At least we all know we have nothing to worry about when it comes to portion size!!

Marianne is the best! I love dealing with her!

The bathrooms are no biggie for me! I don't mind the color scheme because honestly you aren't in there, you are in the ballroom! As long as they are clean (which I know they are) I am very happy!
