Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

The intermezzo was wonderful my guest were dancing and then the wait staff would come around with trays of the sorbet on a small cone. All my guest loved it!!

Bella
just want to wish you the best of luck
one thing i would recommend is at one point take a moment and look at your guest having fun. me and my hubbie sat down at our seats and just looked all around and saw that everyone was having the best time. It is a moment that i will always have in my mind.
Also Have fun and enjoy the food!!
best wishes

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Ready girls?????????????

Okay, George our Matre D was waiting for us outside the FT. AS soon as we walked into the FT we were brought up to the HUGE bridal suite in the private elevator. I made sure to tell Marianne that I wanted the food to be waiting for us and the bridal party when we got there, knowing that we all would be starving...and that is just what they did. The amount of food they had for us in bridal suite was insane..They had hot trays of some food and then the dining room table was packed with the raw seafood bar, fajita's, baby lamb chops, baked clams..etc!!!!! They brought up almost everything that was offered at our CH in intervals...THe rolling bar in the bridal suite was also a hit and was perfect becasue not one person was left empty handed and not one member from our bridal party was left hungry,,they were all so stuffed and couldnt believe that it was just the beginning of what food was left to come. We told the bridal party to go down to the CH to see what else they were offering and my husband and I watched them through the TV in the bridal suite!!!!!!!
Girls........... please be sure to eat during the CH in the bridal suite.....it will probably be the only time you will have before you are bombarded by all your guests..I can honestly say that Anthony and I were stuffed!!!!!!!

Because there was an accident on LIE, some guests were late, so they extended our CH another 1/2 hour so we had a 1 1/2 hour CH and no one complained..

Once you are in the reception, you are treated like a queen. Your matre D will never leave your side and Leese the intermezzo was a huge hit!!!!!!!!! They went around to all the guests and since 90% of my guests were on the dance floor the entire night, they brought the intermezzo on the dance floor and handed them out in littel ice cream cones!!!!!!!

For dinner, they will ask you what you want and then they also bring out a sampler for you..so you are tasting everything on your menu..Oh,,the menu they out on the tables are gorgeous...they put your pic on it.

THe only thing I didntthink of was the platter for the cake..they didnt have my cake on anything..It was on a card board box and they covered it with the table cloth,,it didnt look bad but it also didnt look great. But the cake was still gorgeous even they didnt replicate it to the T like I expected!!

ANd now for the V-hour!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! you all have to have it!!!!!! It is unbelievable,,words cant describe the type of V-hour they have!!!!!
Our guests just sat ther with there mouths open..speechless and the ohone hasnt stopped ringing!!!!!

When we were getting ready to levae, they had over 20 trays of food wrapped and waiting for us to take home....

The FT is amazing..my words dont do it justice and you all understand what I mean when it is your day..

Please be sure to enjoy every second, since it goes by faster than you can imagine and please eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

bella, I have been waiting for your review!

First off, you were a beautiful bride! I can't wait to see some more pictures! You were so radiant & gleamed from ear to ear!!!

I am so happy to hear everything you said about the FT! I never had my doubts but to hear it straight from a past bride, it makes you feel so good!

You don't understand how thrilled I am now for the V hour! That was one thing that was a must have for us!!! So I am excited to see how it is presented!

hmmm, thanks for the tip on the cake! I will have to look into getting one of those stands. I think I saw it on ebay!

So would you do it all over again at FT???

Congrats again to your new husband & you! Don't forget to post more when you get your proofs!!! We are all anxious to see FT pictures!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Kissy...I would do it over and over and over and over again at the FT!!!!!! I told Anthony that when we have a baby,,the christening will be held at the FT!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait until you witness the amount of food during the CH..I swear there CH is exactly like Russo's on the Bay & El Caribe..the seafood boat was amazing.....I am not sure if you guys got it..but it was huge and FILLED!!!!!!!
I mean filled with shrimp, clams, lobster tails, king crab legs, oysters!!!!!!!

AND, the ballroom is abosuletly gorgeous..teh ceiling is breathtaking and when the lights are dimmed and the candles are lit, you feel like you are in a fairtytale....

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Itis a GREAT sign that you would do it over & over again! I am not sure many other things beat it!!! You are too funny about the Christening!

I was fortunate enough to be a guest at a wedding at FT after we booked our wedding there...I am well aware of the CH food! I could not believe my eyes when I saw it! By the time the CH was done, I was so full, I didn't eat all of my dinner! Considering both of our families are big eaters, I am sure they will all be thrilled to see the choices!

We are seriously thinking about adding the seafood boat! Originally we didn't think was necessary but after what I am hearing, I am having second thoughts!!!!

The ballroom is breathtaking with the lights on, so I can just imagine what it was like! I truly can not wait until you have some more pictures to share!

Ooohhh, even more cost savings.

Well, I wouldn't be against having the same shaped cake as long as Frank's into it. I really like square cakes...is that what your bottom layer is going to be?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Those are gorgeous!

I'll talk it over with Frank and let you know what he says... I really love square and it would work with my 'square' invites, and sharp lines....

How much do these bad boys usually run?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

I have seen some on ebay for $40...They can be more expensive but personally I don't see the point! It is only for a cake & presentation! I am not looking to spend a ton of $$

Yeah, me either. The only thing that may throw a wrench into the plan is my obsession with gold.... I'd want it to match.

But I do remember seeing the cake when I visited the FT for the first time and remember thinking 'Why isn't it on a stand?' So I am definitely interested in getting one.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!

Finding gold might be a problem! Everything I have seen has been silver & nickelplated! I did just see something gold but not sure...If not, we can always go our separate ways!

Oh wow thats great
what i've been hearing from my guests is the ones who ate did not drink as much because they were extremely full. and those who drank could not eat becuase they were all liqoured up. From what i heard after the wedding they met up at my house to eat all the food that was sent home from FT.
