Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
I had to go back and brighten some of the pics myself...the outside pics were great bt it was mostly the inside pics like the ones with our grandparents and a few group shots..anyways I don't want the same thing happening to you guys so just talk to them ahead of time so it won't be a problem.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
so i am getting ready to send out my invitations and here is the problem...my invites are from india, so they have the plastic cover, does the stamp go on the inside or the outside of the plastic cover?i thought inside just incase the plastic rips and comes out, but then i thought outside cause the post office usually has to stamp it before it mails....
any ideas?

it needs to go on the outside of the plastic.. check with your postoffice, but i had the same issue with our engagement invites. we put them in the plascitc sleeves then put the stamp and the address label on top.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Hi! I'm an Indian bride who's completely new to all of this planning stuff....we finally picked a date for our wedding (7/5/08). I have no idea where to start. We're still looking for a place to have our ceremony/reception...any advice would be great :) I think we're going to go with Sitar as our caterer. People have said a lot of good things about him. So glad to have found this forum.....I'm so stressed already and the real planning hasn't evening begun.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
nitu, about the plastic cover, i placed my stamps on the outside, BUT some people in the Washington DC area did not receive the invites, i had to hand it to them (i didnt entirely freak out because i live in the dc area) everyone else that it was sent to, on the west coast all got it...but i wouldnt go about putting it on the inside because they need to stamp the stamp with something, to mark that its been used..
rk - welcome... first thing i'd suggest.... look for reception sites!!
