LOL I'm glad I'm getting married in the afternoon. Sorry I guess I will be the wedding in the way of everyone elses.
I kinda think this happens at other halls, not just the Thatched Cottage. Think of the other halls with more than 1 wedding going on at the same time.
I'm sure it will be fine, At your final meeting, I would definitely just voice your concern - they don't want unhappy brides, especially when they know that things are posted all over the internet.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
absolutely voice your concern. I seriously had no problem when we arrived. We were able to take our family pictures both in the CH room and the main reception room.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I am SERIOUSLY concerned!! Does anyone know if I can move up the start time to my ceremony at TC? I am getting married there in October and I would really love at least alittle bit of light. Right now my ceremony is suppose to start at 6:30 but I would love it to start at 6:00 but I think there is a wedding before mine....... I am just so worried, any advice?

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I would definitely call them, and ask if there is a wedding before yours!Anyways, I just looked it up, and the sunset for NY, NY on 10/10/10 is 6:23....so it will probably be beautiful looking!!! Just getting dark, with the sunset in the background!

Not too much. I really have to go over eveything with the chruch but the priest is on vacation intill 01/19.
I called Tonianne yesterday morning but she was in a meeting and she never called me back so I am a little annoyed.

Really, this is the first time I have had to call, I will be pissed if I do not hear from her by the end of today. I called a few mins. ago and they said she will be in at 12.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
i went to the florist today to figure out arrangements and i need help!He asked about the card table, if it needed an arrangement. Are you ladies doing any flowers on the card table?
Also how much is inculded with the sunburst of flowers for the ceremony? Id it enough or will I need hte florist to add more to the cermony too?!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hello! i just made my 3 month meeting appt for Feb 3. SO exciting. I know we'll go over food, linens and cake type of things, but does anyone have any suggestions for other things to get sorted while we're there? We're having our ceremony there so i have a ton of questions about that, but i am wondering if there is some other details that i am not thinking of. Would love to 3 month meeting advice! thanks!

TC actually provides the arrangement for the card table. (it's the glass piano in the lobby.) They use 'seasonal' flowers so if that won't match your color scheme, you may want to get your own arrangement. We didn't get our own arrangement and were quite happy with what TC provided. We did have our florist scatter rose petals on the card table though ... and it looked beautiful.

My number one advice - TAKE NOTES! DH and I didn't and 5 minutes after we walked out, we couldn't remember what we picked
Honestly, they will go over EVERYTHING in detail with you. And they will go over it again the week of your wedding when you drop off your final payment, escort cards, cake topper, etc. I honestly had no worries at all about the reception.
