Hi girls, I haven't posted often but I always lurk on this thread! I am getting married at the Thatched on Saturday!! I can't believe it. I will post pictures of the place. (We aren't going on our honeymoon right away!)

Hi Girl-
I am going to TC next week and I have a silly question.
When they say we need to pay half the balance, how do they know how much we need to pay if we dont even know how many people are def coming?

We are doing to winter package $10k for up to 100 ppl but we are def having more than 100 ppl.

Does this mean we pay half the balance on the 100 people only for now?

DH would kill me if he knew I was posting from the HM - but he's playing golf and I'm kiling time before my spa appointment so he won't know.

As far as paying 1/2 the balance at your 3 month meeting, you pay 1/2 the amount based upon your guaranteed minimum. They will let you know the balance due when you call in your final count.

I promise to add pictures as soon as I get home from the HM (Dec. 8).

Oh and one more hint to the next TC brides - get the mashed potato bar!!! That was the biggest hit at the wedding. People loved it. At brunch the next day all people were talking about was the mashed potato bar!

In the words of DH it was the 'best freakin mashed potatoes ever!'

Hahahahhaha my fiance is going to LOVE to hear the mashed potato bar is good!! He was annoying me to get it. I guess now I will have too.. lol

PS - One of my things when choosing a place was for the Mashed Potato Bar!! its my favorite food, and it was at my brothers wedding - I was obssessed!!!

We just went in to pay our balance and drop off our stuff!!! I am so excited!! The only problem we are having is our tables. We are only having ten tables and we can't decide how to make the room look!! We are also wondering if our parent tables are way to ontop of us. HAHA. The room looks awesome regardless of where people sit. Its soooo beautiful there. :)

everytime i come on and read this thread i get more excited to have my wedding at TC! I love hearing how well everyones days went there!

I booked my wedding there back in december 2007 and havent been back since. do you think they would mind if i called to make an appointment to jsut come and see how it looks, i havent seen any of the recent construction in person, jsut in a few pictures i've seen on here.

No not at all. I made an appointment just to go and take pictures. I even told them that when I called. They didnt mind!!! Andre helped me and he answered any and all questions I had!! They are GREAT!!! Give them a call!

Thank you so much!! It was amazing!! Terrance is the absolute best. He is seriously the nicest guy ever! The place looked absolutely amazing. I am just so happy. I will post pictures soon. Girls, you will all have an amazing day. Woooohoo.
