Re: Thatched cottage thread

They asked for a copy of our invitation at our meeting but I'm sure you can give it to them later. I think it's just one of those things you need to supply them with prior to your wedding day.

Really you don't need anything else for the 3 month meeting. Just start thinking about linen colors, menu choices and start looking at cakes you like (bring pictures). I wasn't prepared for the cake thing and I've already changed the style of my cake.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I remember feeling that way over the summer. I felt guilty if I had nothing wedding-related to do. Enjoy the peace and quiet now because by December/January, you'll be in a frenzy.

SO Is it cheese to have the DJ play Be our guest from beauty and the beast as they roll out dinner? lol I dont know why I love the idea but FH laughs at me lol But he laughs at me a lot lately so I dont know if its the song selection or him just being him lol [/QUOTE

I don't think so. At our wedding, the DJ played be our guest as the thatched staff did their really cool presentation of the champagne and it was great:)

Re: Thatched cottage thread

all of the staff like marches out on the dance floor to music with a bottle of champagne , then they all pop the cork at the same time and then walk to the tables at the same time. I didn't know about it before and it was a pretty cool surprise!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Some of the colors have a slight pattern to them. We were boring and did ivory table cloths with dark brown napkins (the BMs are wearing dark brown).

Re: Thatched cottage thread

question for girls that have done tables already past and current brides... I have 2 tables of 9 and one table of 7! I just cant fit everyone to make the tables bigger... I am in the middle of printing my seating candles and I just read on the bottom of the table sheet ' you can have tables of 10,11,12,13, and 14' Does that mean they are going to make me change my table of 7 when I hand in my sheet?? I am actually going to pay the extra $150 for the extra table because I technically only get 10 tables due to how many people I have coming as opposed to the 11 tables I would have had I met my minimum (at least I think they will charge me, I dont know.) Just becaue I am DONE trying to make people fit ... lol what do you think?

I was just wondering the same thing. My mom's table only has 8 - I can't add anyone to it. I'm sure it doesn't matter as long as I stick to my allotted 13 tables.

As far as paying the extra $150 - I would guess that you won't have to. You're already paying for X number of guests (your min. amount) - If your min was 120 and you were going to be allowed 10 tables but only had 108 people show up, , you're still paying for 120 people = 10 tables. I *THINK* that's right, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

If you find out, can you let me know?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Thats what I think too!! But according to what I have read on other halls its by your final count... which isnt fair in my opinion.. thats why I am just going in paying for 125 and not bringing it up unless they do lol. My min is 125 and WITH vendors I have 118
