yes those are the beers they still have - all on tap
Fh and I went over the liquors and we did not feel we need to add anything else on! We just want the bottle beer and ours friends alwas drink corona and heinke so we added those to it was $1 pp per beer so $2 pp was not bad!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hi Ladies-
I posted a few months ago about my experience at Thatched for a 7pm wedding. LOVED Thatched and am still happy I had my reception there. HOWEVER, DEFINITELY ask about any events before yours. A wedding before me was JUST ending when we arrived and it was total chaos. To this day, my parents are unhappy with them. I on the other hand, had the best day of my life! Once that was over, it was smooth sailing. Bottom line is that they screwed up. Wouldn't want to see any of you go through that.
Good luck to you future brides!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

We were the only party there the night of my wedding, but there was a day wedding that ended at 6 pm (my CH started at 7). When we arrived (me, DH, and the BP) for pictures at around 6 - the people from the previous wedding were walking out, but it was a very smooth transition. They set us up in the small room that they use as the indoor chapel and we were able to take pictures, etc.

So hopefully they learned from the previous poster's experience.....

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I am assuming that since my wedding is on Friday night I don't have to worry about another wedding, next time I call them I will ask about another party, but when I was their last month the other room was actually having work done, and it was no wherenear ready to have an event!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Regarding one wedding/party at one time; I had my wedding there in Aug. and when we arrived at 6pm to take pictures before our CH their was another party there, it was chaos, i had to walk through a hundred people to get downstairs, where they put all of our belongings in a closet/room. When the party finally left they brought our stuff up to the bridal suite.
Also, our favors were 'too big' to keep on the tables, so they were supposed to bring out the favors right after dinner, and they didn't! People left without their favors, so my DH and I had to stress over that-walk out of our wedding to go ask the bridal attendant why people are leaving without the favors. (we had to hand deliver favors the following week to a dozen guest) One waitress even asked ME during the wedding how many favors should be on my parents table!!! So i basically made that favor/seating chart for nothing?!?! I loved the Thatched cottage, it's beautiful.. but those little things did stress me out, at the end of the night we were so happy it was over.
One last thing, we bought $100+ worth of candles & holders, and they are supposed to pack up everything you brought, well, they didn't, i think they kept about 10 candles & holders-not cool!
Everyone has different experiences at the TC, and i see most of them are really great! it just so happens mine wasn't. I will say that it's a beautiful place, and the food was great!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Fortunately we took pictures at Vanderbuilt Mansion before arriving at Thatched. The only pictures at Thatched are of the ceremony and reception because of our arrival situation. We too were put into the chapel upstairs (I couldn't even get into the bridal suite because the other bride was still there!). And I had to walk through hundreds of people as did the previous poster. As I type this, I do get annoyed that there are family pictures that were supposed to be taken at Thatched but never were. This too really pisses my parents off! And since they paid the bulk of the wedding, I can see why. They wrote TC a letter and never got a response. Needless to say, they are not fans.
But girls, just make sure that any previous events are going to be gone at the time you were told you could arrive. Then hopefully, everything else will fall into place just as you imagined. As you see, not everyone had that problem.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

uh oh! I am starting to worry now! We are having our ceremony at the church & pics at the Vanderbilt. The only pics we will be taking at TC are the family shots.
I will call this weekend to see about any parties.
