Hi ladies-
Tonight FH & I have our 3 month meeting. I am excited to pick out the food, linens, etc.
Any recommendations on food?
Any suggestions re the meeting?
So Excited!!
Hi Ladies;
As soon as I find some pictures I'll post them (just got back from the HM and am in the middle of moving so I don't know where ANYTHING is).
As far as the meeting:
definitely get the mashed potato bar - it was the biggest hit at our wedding. It's almost a month later and people are still talking about it.
and take notes! DH and I thought we would remember all the choices we made and we didn't remember anything when we walked out.
Most of all - have fun!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hi Ladies!the meeting went really well and I took your advice and picked the mashed potatoe station.
The place looked BEAUTIFUL!!!! it was decorated so pretty for the holidays. Its too bad they wont be up for my wedding.
Overall it went well- but i am SO STRESSED!!!
we were inititally going to go with the candle centepieces that came with the winter package but I saw them set up in the room and I didnt love them anymore
I now want to get high centerpieces for the room. BUT of course I am on a budget and dont want to spend a ton.
Can you please recommend your florist and tell me what the quotes you got were for centerpieces.
You guys are always huge help! <3

Re: Thatched cottage thread
we used Burtons. We did a mixture of high and low CPs. I think it was $75 for the low and $95 for the high. I absolutely loved my flowers. I'm looking for a picture of them right now.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
The HM was AMAZING!!! It's hard to be back at work. I found one picture that my cousin emailed me (ignore my aunt and uncle in the background) - they're the low CPs. I'm looking for a picture of the high ones for you. We ended up with 14 tables. I did 7 high and 7 low.
I don't know if you are doing your bok with Burtons too but I absolutely loved my flowers. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money on flowers and didn't really have high expectations. They were so beautiful though.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hey, I was going to use those candle centerpieces that the thatched gives in the winter package but I didnt like it much either. I am using Pedestals. They are more pricey but I love their work. I am doing High and Low too. High I believe is 120 and low is 80.. I think. I know its around there. Your flowers look beautiful geegee!!

Hi Ladies!I met with John from Burtons yesterday and got an awesome quote on flowers. I am going back next week to see a sample before I make a final decision.
This is what I wanted except mine will have more orchids in the vase and the centerpiece itself and adding white hydranga into the mix.
what do you think?
