Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hey guys, someone asked me the other day what kind of uplighting I was using. Is anyone else using it? Dose the Thatched let us use it??

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I thought about the uplighting, but I was advised against it because of how many windows there are.

I still REALLY want Red Velvet, but they don't offer it

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I'm actually starting to do my tables but have a quick question: If I have 160 people it works out to 13.3 tables using the '12 per table' rule. Does that mean I get 13 or 14 tables?

TC isn't open yet to ask.

Hi ladies-
I posted a while back that I was thinking of changing my wedding date b/c my Dad got sick.
We have decided against it b/c since then my Dad has come home! After 2 months in hospital and the rehab center he is home & doing great! He still has a long way to go but he is recovering really well!

I actually got a letter from TC to come in next month for my half deposit and to pick out the cakes, linens, etc.
Any suggestions on the cake flavor? We were thinking vanilla w/Cannoli filling.

Im so glad to hear that
I rec'ved the same letter last week so exciting we have 4 mths left, I think we are also doing vanilla with cannoli filling!

Did you guys make your 3 month meeting appts yet? If so, what did you pick?

First ... I dont get emails from this thread anymore =( I am SO outta the loop!!!

For cake they let us do

2 flavors of cake in each layer so it will be :

Vanilla
canolli Cream
Chocolate
Choc mousse (I think I cant remember lol )
Vanilla

And each tier will be that combo

I am pretty sure 14

I have a question about this too... Now so do I do their math rule with my final count or what my minimum is?

My min is 125 and their math says I get 11 tables BUT I am under my minimum so I 'technically' should get 10 tables... BUT there is no way to fit everyone at 10 tables with all my seating 'request' and who isnt talking to who and what not

:

I would say that if you're under your minimum, you'd be entitled to 11 tables since you still have to pay for those people, right?

I'm having a difficult time with the seating because of the 'who's not talking to who' thing and who wants to sit with someone....it's making me crazy. I feel like I have a whole bunch of tables of 6 or 8!!!
bang:

Other than the seating, how are your plans coming along? I can't believe we're so close.

OMG I must have like 5 tables of 7- 8 people lol! and then the extreme I have 2 of 14!!!! This has been the worst part by far! lol I have had the RSVP's in since Oct 1st and I have done like a half a table every night lol

Umm things are going ok lol I am STRESSED! Still need to make my seating candles ... they are going to be stemmed votive candles. Hope to get those done by weekends end Thats the only MUST DO major thing I have left to do (at least I think lol)

I am trying to get together a must/do not play list for the DJ as I type for my meeting tomorrow. Everything else is ... Dare I say it going well though! I am SO excited!!!! It is truly INSANE how fast time went by!

How are you doing?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I need more time!!! It's crazy. I feel like I have
ADD. One minute I'm focused on the wedding, the next I'm trying to pack up my apartment and paint and clean the new house, then I'm working insane hours because I'm out with the wedding and HM for almost a month. It's really insane.

Tables are going to be the death of me. I know what you mean, I have tables of 6 or 8 and then I have 3 tables of 16!!! Yes, they can do tables of 16 according to Andre and Toni Ann. I'm ready to tell people that it's open seating!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I don't think it's cheesy at all, but I love anything Disney!!! I say go for it. I'm trying to convince FH right now that we should walk in to Bibbity Bobbity Boo from Cinderella - he's not feeling it.

As far as uplighting goes, I'm not doing it and never really looked into doing it. I love the way it looks though.
