Hey Girls!! I am so excited for all of us that December is drawing near!! I get so excited when I see holiday stuff in the stores. Yesterday, FH and I were in Michael's and we started singing 'It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas' people probably thought we were nuts, but oh well, we are SO excited.

Here is my update...

Got my invitations (as many of you know) last Thursday and mailed them out on Monday - got my first RSVP back today!!

I have my hair trial on Thursday - I promised to take pictures and post

I scheduled my first fitting for the first week in November.

FH and I went and ordered the tuxes.

GM and BM gifts are done!

And my grandma is almost done putting my favors in their boxes- wrapping will be next!

I think I am in pretty good condition. I want to call my priest and music coordinator at my church to set up meetings soon.

Good luck with everything else you all have left to do- and try to enjoy the next 2 months of being engaged!!! Such an exciting time!

Hi December Brides..i just joined to site and am glad to hear that I'm not the only bride getting nervous. I still need to pick out my flowers and was wondering if you had any suggestions or pics? My appt to finalize the flowers is next week and need some help :)

what is your theme?? i am doing a xmas theme so i have red and white arrangements.. im actually going to the florist soon too!! im sooooooooooo behind..haha

hmm..details...my girls are in strapless two piece red dresses with cream sashes...i'm in a diamond white strapless dress with subtle gold detail on the bodice and train.

I think I want my flower colors to be red, cream, and white. But not sure of the exact flowers yet.

Quick question..what are you girls throwing after the ceremony.. birdseed, rice, ..rose petals? I found these really cute red and white rose cones on www.beau-coup.com but i'n not sure what to fill them with. I heard rice kills birds??

congrats and welcome! that does make four of us on 12/8. it's becoming a popular date! i remember when i thought i was the only one.

as for flowers, we're incorporating evergreens, pine cones, roses, carnations and silver snowflakes (to match our colors and theme) into both our centerpieces and bouquets.

i totally hear ya on the time span!! i just recently got some stuff done.. i still have a lot more.. my dress hasnt even come in yet.. ughhh.

hi girls!

i'm here on the island again for the next few days and got a ton of stuff done today. I'll post pics when i get home on sunday though. my parents computer is not so fast...

so, 2nd hair trial this morning and i LOVE it. this will be the one. it's similar to #1, but in the front, i have a part with a sweep (which actually mirror's my dress) and the curls are not so boxy in the back.

then i went for my first fitting! only need to have the straps taken up a bit, put in the bustle with ties underneath, and put some velcro in for my bra to make sure it doesn't show. no hem needed and they told me to not loose any more weight. I still want to but i'll concentrate on my arms now which are flabbier than i'd like.

then we went out to our hall to take a look at the candle hurricanes they are providing and got a sneak peak at the new carpet they are putting in the ballroom next week which will make the new (and bigger) dance floor even better!

after that, we went and I had my make up trial! I did airbrush and booked her on the spot. my face is a tad itchy right now but i'm pushing myself to stay up and keep it on until midnight so i can see at least 6 hrs of wear on it. I really don't wear make up on a regular basis so i'm hoping that the itch is just b/c my skin isn't used to this feeling. so anyway, that is done (yay!!).

and then tonight after dinner, we drove back over to barrons, and i ordered my veil and jeweled comb!

I feel so much better for having done those things and for the first time today in a long time, i felt like a bride, which I haven't felt in quite some time. hopefully this feeling lasts cause i'm tired of feeling pushed and stressed and feeling as though i'm planning someone else's event.

Wow Elizabeth!! You got a ton of stuff done!!!

I had my first hair trial last night - I loved it! I took pictures, but my computer had a million viruses on it, so I had to take it in last night (I'm on my Mom's)

I totally know what you mean about finally feeling like a bride because I definitely feel that way a lot more lately!! I cannot believe we're almost there!

yeah date twin ... congrats on all of your accomplishments! you're officially ahead of me now! i have yet to do a hair trial because i need to get my headpiece. hopefully i'll find one this weekend so i can schedule that. i'm also having my make-up trial this sunday so hopefully it'll work out well so i won't have to find someone else.

i have had my fitting and was told the same as you ... not to lose more weight/inches. i actually had to go out and buy higher shoes because the ones i had were too short for my hem (and since i did the hollow to hem, i was't going to pay for a new hem!).

i feel like my list is never-ending and nothing is getting done. with T-49 days and counting, i'm slowly starting to wonder how this will all come together (without me turning into a complete bridezilla ... since i'm already partially one now!).

Busy, busy, busy... I am starting to feel slightly stressed out - we still don't have limos, I don't have accessories, and jewelery yet, need BM gifts and favors and am now having to follow-up with all the vendors.

But I did go for my hair and makeup trial and it went much better than the first time. The first time I cried. This time I was actually smiling - so that was good. Still need shoes too. I better write up a list. There's a lot of unfinished things I need to tie up now that I'm thinking about it. I'm going for my first hair trial next week, and have my first fitting the same day too! I really do need my shoes - yikes!

We sent out the invitations a couple of weeks ago - so far 57:59 responded yes.

I'm getting excited and anxious all at the same time - Tricia only 60 days to go today!!! I can't wait for Nevis!

2 more months to go!!!! I can't even begin to explain my excitement! Matt and I set our date with almost 800 days till the big day and now we're only 60 away- we are both so excited.

I ordered my FG gifts a few days ago and they are coming in. My mom ordered the OOT bags and champagne for the bags- and the bags were shipped today.

My sister is doing a fabulous job planning my bachelorette party. I really just have to meet with all the vendors, the priest and music coordinator. My first fitting is November 12th- just one day after our 2 year engagement anniversary! Still need undergarments though.

So yeah, that is where we are at! I cannot wait!!!

ok girls, we're just about a month away ... how's the planning going?

i finally bought my headpiece this weekend and the candles to make the unity candle. i still have tons of things to do and wish time would just slow down a little bit. i also scheduled a bunch of appointments for next week (menu planning, florist, my hopefully final dress fitting).

my rsvp deadline is on thursday and we're still waiting for over 20 to come back (and i'm having a small wedding!). come on guests, just send the postage-paid card back already!

hi girls! It's hard to believe we've all reached the less than 2 months mark!

I'm going to be in NY for the first time in four months this weekend, so my mom and I plan to handle shoes, hair pieces, the veil, and undergarments on Friday. Saturday I have my first fitting and first meeting with the florist for centerpieces.

Over thanksgiving break we're meeting with all of the vendors since it will be our last time in NY prior to the week before the wedding. I feel more and more behind every day, but my fiance is really picking up my slack amazingly! We were supposed to make vases for the CPs and the signs for the table names together on weekends, but he's been doing that all on his own every night.

The response cards are slowly trickling in - even though I know their response, I'm getting frustrated by all the folks who will tell me in person that they can't make it, but seem to be resisting sending the card in.
