For flowers, has anybody else looked at incorporating berries? Our florists suggested going that way, and i'm really excited about it. I don't have any pics, but I think it will look very distinctive.

Yeah, when is everyone sending their invites?Or when do you suggest I send my invites since my wedding is the day after Xmas? I'm working on them (I'm doing pocketfolds and want to design them and get them professionally printed) - I need help with this one! Thanks!

We are sending invites beginning of October I think!We had a minor prob. with favors---we hated the ones we picked---so we are doing a donation instead---which is what I wanted all along (donating to a school program for under-priveledged school districts).
OTher then that---
BM dresses are in
my FG is getting measured this week
seeing sample CP next week
booking RD this week
first fitting later this month
PRe-Cana test this Sunday (What the heck is up with that---168 questions????)
picking out wedding bands this weekend too!
WOW-----THAT'S ALOT!

We are!!!
We are doing all white flowers---amarylis (SP)
Callas, and casablanca lillies, and orchids. We are also accenting with holly berry! We ar eseeinga sample next weekend---I'll let you know how it goes!

yes ... actually we will have berries in our centerpieces and bouquets as well. i don't know how i forgot to mention it above! the pictures i saw at the florist were beautiful with the berries!

i'm thinking either the end of september or the beginning of october. not sure when yet ... we're just starting to work on invites, now that we figured out which ones we want!

My invites just came yesterday! I was SO excited to see them! I am thinking about sending them out at the end of September...since it is the holiday season..and weekends in December tend to fill up very quickly! Also my hall wants a final head count by the day after Thanksgiving...so my reply date is November 1 in order to have enough time to hunt people down!We are also meeting with a jeweler tomorrow night about wedding bands and we are also trying to narrow down a place for the RD.
BTW Any brides on here having a Catholic Ceremony? Have you been given a straight answer as to the extent the Church is decorated during advent? There seem to be a lot of mixed messages regarding this.

My church told me they are not decorating until Monday Christmas EVE---Bummer!!!We do get christmas trees though.

And re: the advent decorations, I know my church doesn't put up the major stuff until the morning of Christmas Eve, which is unfortunate b/c the altar is amazing with hurricane lanterns surrounded by dozens of pointsetias.... I may try to recreate it though. I think at a bare minimum, there are two fake trees on the altar, the advent wreath, and some other greens. I haven't started to even think about that stuff yet. Still have other major to-do's left!

Hi! I actually just started posting on this website... Im getting married December 1st! I just re-ordered my invites because the ones I got first came out horrible!! So I went somewhere else... I have alot of little things left to do, but im so excited I can't wait! Congrats to all of you!

That sounds so pretty! I love the berry idea! I just went for my sample CP... I got a tall clear vase with white birch brances high up, and white hydrangeas around the base... then they are putting white christmas lights all through the vase! I wanted red in it at first because my girls are wearing red, but I figured the all white was very wintery... I didnt even think of berries though! I love that idea!

haha I just did mine too ... sending them tomorrow .. I think its better because its a fresh reminder and the holidays are so crazy. So, thats why I waited so long for mine too.
My wedding invites will be going out October 1st with an RSVP date of November 12th. What is everyones time frame for that??
