Irene i love your pic!!! i'm waiting until jan or feb to do flowers- i just want everything booked by june of next year! i'm going dress shopping & going to order the dress by march. i know which one but i've seen to others i like so i will try them on & decide

thats good, Karen. Make sure that you look at all types of dress before you pick the one, becaus emy first dress, I picked right away without seeing any others and then wanted something else after seeing other gowns.

Hey Tatum...I actually haven't gone on the BHB forum in a whilllllle...obviously lol! I've been hiding out in the 08 Brides forum. The posts go a little too fast for me in the BHB forum lol, if I'm not on there for like 5 minutes my posts are already on like the 4th page and are impossible to find lol!

I went with my FH, mom and dad. It was just the 4 of us in the office downstairs.

Irene, I'm going Jan 27th

Are you asking how many couples can you bring with you or are you asking how many other couples are at the food tasting???

We're bringing my parents and FIL's..so 6 in our case.

As for other couples/strangers I don't think they schedule tastings with other couples. I hope not. I can't stand the forced socialized tables like when you go on a cruise and a forced to sit with people you don't know.

OH BTW..I was looking to post today about Daisy. A feel a rave coming on..
She is really wonderful. Every time I call or email (which isn't too often) she responds soooo quickly and is always sooo helpful. She's the best!

Daisy is my BM & i think shes awesome!! she always replys to me ASAP!!! definitely let us know how it goes w/ the food tasting! i cant wait for mine!

I'm sorry girls I could not find this thread for the life of me this morning so I FM'd Irene to bump it for me

OK here goes:

The tasting on Saturday night was great.

We started with some of the butler passed hure durves (sp?) and one was better than the next. We loved the beef wellington, crab cakes and steak skewers especially.

The appetizer was lobster ravioli. We all like these with the exception of my mom, she felt that the ravioli was over-cooked. BUT more importantly my FIL's loved it and frankly I find there input more significant. They are from Sicily and no on knows sauce and pasta better than my FIL's.

Entree:
Filet Mignon: You could cut it with your fork!!! Tasty and tender AND a large piece. We were all blown away by the portions.

Chicken Toscana-Delicious and incredibly moist which is a rare at an RH. Loved it!

Salmon-I personally hate salmon. It's the only fish I don't like and refuse to eat. BUT there is nothing more FH loves more than salmon. Everyone absolutley loved it.

We still can't get over the portion sizes!!!

Vegetables were very crunchy which was great.

I really wanted to try the Sea Bass bc that is my favorite fish but unfortunatley it was not on the menu of the event that was taking place. Bill was kind enough offer it when we go in to make our last deposit in early March.

We also sampled some wine and cocktails and all was very good.

The young lady that helped Bill serve was a doll. We wanted to tip her but couldn't find her as we were leaving. I think she must have went to work on the event in the ball room. Daisy came in just to say hi and see how the planning was going which was super nice. The entire staff there is so nice and friendly.

Girls, this place looks more and more gorgeous every time we go. They keep adding all of these extra decorations and finishing touches. The new gate around the deck is beauitful. There are new light fixtures and prints hung up through out.

My DOC emailed me this morning to ask how it went and said that nearly every call she gets is a bride that is booked at VYC or is dieing to get a date there (they can't afford it or it's simply not available).

We've got one hell of an RH ladies

I love hearing great things about VYC. Thanks so much for the review! I guess that those are the three most popular menu items because they're the same ones that we tasted too. It made us change our minds about our fish choice since the salmon was out of this world!
