hey girls..

we have to start the menu process now... Bill rote down Pasta Station... and then something about 5 choices? Does he mean a pasta station AND 5 choices? I am lost

help :)


i'm not sure, but e-mailing him gets a much quicker response than trying to get him on the phone.

For your cocktail hour you should have the pasta station with your choice of 2 sauces, 6 choices for the chafing (?) dishes, tuscan table (or something like that, not exactly sure what it's called but it has the salads, fruits, cheeses etc) and the carving board.

Then, it should be 5 choices for the dinner entree.

Hey, I just booked VYC, how long before do you think I need to book the DJ/florist/photographer? Does anybody have any recommendations for any of the vendors from their 'recommended' vendors list?
Also does anybody know if the courtyard marriott does shuttles to VYC? Thanks!

Im so excited there is a thread for Venetian Yacht Club. My FH and myself are getting married there 04.05.09 :) We are having our cocktail hour downstairs and the reception on the 2nd floor!

I'm new to this (by this, I mean, the site, the message board, wedding planning... everything) and didn't go through all the old pages on this thread but am so so so close to booking VYC for next year.

Was just wondering what people thought of upstairs vs. downstairs? Personally, I liked the downstairs better (had space outdoors, etc) and would even consider cutting the guest list for it. I was not too enthused about having some guests in the smaller room... thought they might feel left out with that wall open and stairs between them and the rest of the party

Any ideas?

Welcome! I am getting married at VYC on 9/12/09. I booked the room downstairs because of the amount of people I am having (about 150) and because my reception is at night. I booked with Guilio and he was great. I liked the space outside for downstairs as well. I also liked the fact that the coctail hour doors will open right up into the room, instead of having to go upstairs. I really loved both rooms, and if I had my reception in the afternoon I would have used the downstairs for cocktail hour and the upstairs for the reception but since I am having it at night I was given the smaller downstairs room.
