Can anyone tell me how much they were planning on tipping their maitre d and bridal attendant? I can't remember if that was in our contract or not. Thanks!

Its not in the contract, but its about $3 per person. I don't know about bridal attendant maybe $150 or 200.

Thanks! I was thinking of giving the Maitre D $500 which would be about $2.50pp. So I guess I wasn't that far off. The whole tipping topic just makes me mad since I feel like I've paid too much for this wedding already.

I know exactly what you mean. Paying 20% for gratuity and then another 500 to 700 just on tips is insane. Its just so much money to give. Your day is almost hear, can't wait to hear your review.

not a yet a review ... but just to say VYC ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my wedding was on 5/13/07.... GIRLS... YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT... MY GUESTS WERE HAPPY... DH AND I WERE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY... VERY WARM PROFESSIONAL STAFF... DAISY IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST... i know i dont make much sense right now.. but i'm still on wedding high!!!! anyway... will post a review in a week or so ... any questions.. just fm me...

That first picture you have in your album of the VYC is amazing. I went to see it myself and although they seemed to offer quite a bit for the price, it was to far away for us. Very nice place though, congrats to you.

Hi Ladies.
VYC is my top pick for my wedding at this point, but I have a concern. Are any of you using the just the downstairs room (guarentee of 150) and having to use the side room for your CH? I'm scared it is going to be tight in there.
Anyone else doing it??

I think that should be fine...if I recall the side room is a decent size. How many people was the minimum you have to guarantee to have the whole place? I guaranteed 225 and I have the whole place.....I believe I also had the whole place when I originally guaranteed 200 too.

I want to use the downstairs room because of the outdoor deck. The minimum is 150. I will prob have around 150-160 ppl at the wedding...maybe more. To guarentee the upstairs I had to give 175 ppl. He didn't say that would guarentee me the whole place though.
