I've booked at the VYC and this weekend received calls from their vendors. I don't remember signing anything releasing my phone number. Did any of you have the same problem? I'm a little surprised they would give out my home phone number to their vendors.

I didn't have anyone calling me, but I did get a bunch of stuff from their vendors in the mail. Just tell them that you've already booked people and they should leave you alone.

I think I might have gotten 1, but nothing annoying at all. Although I did get stuff in the mail which is fine with me, I have my LIW bag filled with vendor postcards, info, mailings, cd's etc. I'll be saving it all until my very last thing is booked!

I think that you should save the VYC for the BIG day and have it somewhere else. This way those who have yet to be there will be mesmorized on your wedding day.

MINI FOOD TASTING REVIEW.
Just had a food tasting at VYC. Let me say ladies, I brough along the two most picky eaters (my mother and mother in law) and we all loved the food. Loved it!.. We had the stuffed chicken (toscana), salmon and filet mignon. It was all delicious and the mothers were so happy. We were treated like royalty... I even requested that the filet mignon be served well done and... no problem...done! anyway, one thing i would say is that if you have a particular dish you really care about, find out if they're serving it at your appt... because your tasting is based on whatever is being served at the event that is ongoing on the night of your tasting. So we tried only 3 entree's because that's what was being served. We didn't care... we loved everything... but if you'll have an issue and really want to try something just ask for an event where that item will be served.
That's all.. Julio was absolutely awesome!!
Just had my food tasting on Saturday....and wanted to say it was AMAZING. I agree, Giulio is really sweet and helpful. I can't wait for the wedding day!!!!

Re: The First Official Venetian Yacht Club / VYC thread...
I don't think you need to at all. We added some extras, the seafood boat with lobster tails and the caviar station and the VH for later. It is up to you really. We wanted the seafood boat and VH from the begininng and kinda just went with the caviar and vodka station just because thought it would be a nice touch. I now do think its alot to add because they really do give you alot and the food is amazing so no real need for any extras.

I really don't remeber it was the first thing we added. Maybe $7 per person, but I am not sure. Sorry, but if you call or email them they can maybe give you a good deal.
