No, I'm sure that's fine. My SIL bought her bridal gown nfrom Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and she loved them! You're better off anyway in case your body changes at all.

My BM dresses won't be ready until Oct. 29th! That was freaking me out a little bit. That's when they'll have their 2nd fitting. The seamstress wanted to have them ready the Monday before my wedding, but I refused. They said that if any changes need to be made, they can do it right there and then.

I wouldn't worry about when your fitting is. Because I'm only 5'1' my dress needs to be hemmed from the waist so its pretty complicated. That's why my second fitting is tonight because I'll probably need a 3rd fitting plus a bustle fitting.

allison...I am so happy that you found your necklace again... too bad the entire fitting process was a mess...

allison... I don't have my 2nd fitting for another 2 weeks either... the bridal place told me you are better off having your fittings as close to your wedding date b/c girls tend to fluctuate in weight before the wedding...

ETA: jenn...didn't you get your dress from flowerama? did they say when it would be in?

I really feel that no matter how early you order your dress, these bridal salons actually place the order so that your dress only comes in a certain time before your wedding...

A bride could probably walk in a few months before her wedding and have her dress before someone that ordered it a year earlier.


So, where are you ladies having your hair/makeup trials?

I made my trial appt. at Maximus Salon in Merrick. I'm friends with one of the makeup artists there whoe does such a beautiful job. The hair I'm a little nervous about. I've never had good luck with hair there, but I'm trying someone new that my friend recommended.

I'm stilling waiting for the BM dress to come in also. Thank god my BM is tall and won't need a hem -- just possibly some taken in at the bodice.

I'm having my makeup done by Jackie @ I Make Up You. I think she is great. I've even been going to her for facials for the last 3 months.

My hair is being done by someone Jackie works with named Carmella. She's great. I had a second trial on Saturday because I didn't like the front from the first trial. She tried 3 different styles until we found something I liked. She was so patient! It was great because I had a wedding to go to Saturday night so my hair was done for that.

I'll post pictures later when I get home of how my hair came out.

I had my makeup trial w/Jacqueline Nicole &
tarale is doing my hair. They both did such a great job. I may just maek my lipstick a little darker. but other than that it came out amazing.

I am having my make up done by Oksana and my hair done by Jennifer the girl who usually travels with her! i LOVE them both! such sweethearts!

I forgot to tell you girls that we had our final menu meeting with Flowerfield tonight. It was so much fun. We might add on the chocolate fountain and a sundae bar I just have to convince my dad that it is worth the extra $2000.

We finalized the sage tablecloths and ivory chair covers. They are going to look so pretty. And our seating arrangements have to be in on Oct 19th. That is so close We are still missing a ton of RSVP's and the deadline is the 1st

we are going for our menu meeting on october 2nd... at that point we need an approx head count... the rsvp date is october 1st so I am hopeing they are all in by then... but I think thats too much wishful thinking... we are still waiting on a lot of people to reply.... especially the bridal party... but I guess you can assume they are going... hahaha...
