Hey Girls! I'm acctualy an 11/04... I'm getting married on a thursday to save money because we are paying for the wedding ourselves and we bolth have very large families. My invites are almost done.. They will be in the mail by the end of this week... My dad works for the mail processing facility in melvile so he will make sure none of those grimy machines touch my invites. I cant beleive how close its getting!!! I'm getting married at a church in mastic beach and my reception is at the mediterranean manor in patchogue. I havent even sent the invites out yet but i think im going to be suprised at the number of yes's i'll get because out of state relatives are already calling for spesifics to make travel arrangements....Should be interesting reception being as my MIL hasent spoken or seen her mother in 2 years after a nasty falling out.. and grandma will be at the wedding at the same time as MIL... Should be interesting...

ETA: I posted this on BHB... but my friend is considering having her wedding at eastwind or vinyard... any suggestions? what have you heard about either one?

I am so overwhelemd today. I feel like there are so many little things to still do and I will never get them done.

Tonight is my 1st fitting and I am stressing that it won't fit. I am stressing about everything everyday. I am driving my FI crazy

Hi girls! Yesterday was my first fitting... The dress is so big and long (I'm only 5'1') that they have to cut it at the waist, and take off the beading on the bodice to take in the sides and front. A little scary -- but I trust them.

I have another appointment on the 22nd, and I promise to bring the digital camera then. It was very exciting to see everything together though. When I'm home and FH is not around, I need to take pictures of my headpiece and veil for you guys.

We're up to 25 RSVPS -- only 2 no's!

I completely understand what you mean. There are just some days that are more stressful than others. Just get through each day on day at a time. Make a list of things to that need to be done each week. Sometimes, I feel that when it's down on paper, it's easier to tackle.

good idea about the list. I think my mom is keeping track for me! LOL She keeps reminding me of all the stuff to do. I think I am in denial. After being engaged for almost two years, I am SICK of thinking about this damn wedding!!!!!!! LOL JUST GET HERE ALREADY!!!!!!

We only got one RSVP yesterday! What's up with that!

I'm sure they will be great. If you don't mind me asking, what are you having written in them? We are struggling with what to say -- that's brief!

We went and viewed our wedding bands again yesterday. Our rings are custom to match my e-ring which is a solitare pear set between 2 celtic trinity knots. The wedding bands will be the trinity knot repeated around, set between 2 rails of white gold. FI's ring will be just white gold, mine will have pave set diamonds set on both rails on either side of the knots.

It's a pretty neat process because Elsa's Rings did the design first in wax, and then in gold. We were a little dissappointed last time we saw them because the knots didn't pop out as much as we expected, but when we went last night, they had polished and buffed them more, and now they look great! Next step is to set the diamonds and we can probably see them in about 3 weeks. I'm really excited about them now!

As far as wedding is concerned I'm trying to get my favors wraped & I'm working on the template for our programs. Next week we are picking out the menu. I cant wait to be on the HM

Janine,

I would recommend the Vineyard Caterers. The grounds are gorgeous and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I also think that they only have 1 wedding at a time there.

Also, what about Giorgio's? I know that I'm a little biased about them because that's where I'm getting married, but it is beautiful and it's in the same part of the Island as East Wind and Vineyard Caterers.

I'm totally the same way with our condo. We work on it all weekend, almost every night. There is no time left for wedding stuff! And we ordered carpet last weekend and it takes a month before they can install it! It's too much pressure with the wedding coming up!

Tamara... I will def tell my friend about Vineyards... she is from LI but living in Denver,CO now so I guess her mom is going to places for her so those were the 2 halls they looked at... I suggested to alisyn, my friend, to join this site which I think she did...so hopefully she can see all the different halls out there... thanks for the info!

OMG...I had a wedding NIGHTMARE last night... I was LATE to my ceremony but like 5 hours... it was awful... then I almost forgot to pick up my dress...I didn't have my hair or makeup done at all....

Aww, Janine. Don't worry. That's just because you're concerned about the wedding and that you shouldn't forget anything. The day will be perfect and beautiful. You won't forget a thing and you definitely won't show up 5 hours late
