Another question - for anyone that had the VH, about how much of the reception time did it take up? I have the VH, but I really want people to dance for the extra hour, so I was thinking about getting the trays instead so it does not take up as much time eating dessert. But if people only stop for about 15 minutes for the VH, then I will keep it.

They set up the VH in the foyer area outside the ballroom so it won't disrupt anyone who wants to dance...that's what I love about their VH.
When FH and I had our food tasting, we brought three additonal ppl. with us and with the amount of food they gave us we could have brought three more!! LOL

It did not distract those dancing for more then 10 minutes...It is done in the foyer, so the dance floor is still open! My guests stopped dancing when they opened the doors to the VH & then most came back to the dance floor with plates of goodies!!! Truly, it was another hit at our wedding...I would not do without it!!!

We blocked rooms at the Marriott in Uniondale...It was only 10 minutes away & our guests were very happy with the accommodations

Thanks girls! As long as I know my guests won't stop dancing for the whole hour (only about 15-20 minutes), then I am happy! I am definitely going to keep it. I do love the fact that it is in a separate area, not on the dance floor like most places. Thanks!!!

Has any FT brides blocked rooms at the Floral Park Motor Lodge? It is SO close and I just wanted to know what people thought about a Motor Lodge. Would you do it or would you block rooms at a nicer place?

Someone had posted a couple of weeks ago that Arianthe said Marianne has been out because her father is sick, I didn't know she left. She was our BM too and we really liked her.
