Re: NWR: Who Will You Vote For?
I am proud to say that i am voting McCain...I am not going to get into it like I have in the past because this is not political forum..but...for those who base their voting on the debates..I urge you not to do so.... Know the issues and what each politician wants to do..know what will happen to YOU and your family after the fact. i wont preach...at least I try no too...I apologize again when i have in the past...i just feel that with McCain...my future will be better..because of how much money I make...and Fh...and the company that I work for....because of the life that I have....this is how I think...the American dream started when my dad came to the US at age 11 and taught me right from wrong...taught met to WORK for my money...my healthcare...my possessions....I plan to pass those same values and beliefs to my children one day. Under Obama...many of those things would change...and to me...that is NOT acceptable. JMO....BTW...not voting is not the answer. No one will ever agree with EVERYTHING any politician has to say...but not voting..especially women...when our ancestors fought so hard for our right to...well thats just awful in my opinion...

Re: NWR: Who Will You Vote For?
Im voting for Obama. I just dont think mccain has made a big enough effort to bring Obama down. And I just think that he should have picked someone else for the VP ticket, not Palin. Im al for a lady VP, dont get me wrong, but she was not the best choice. This is not meant to offend n e 1, its just IMO

Do you really think with the bailout and McCain's plan to have the government 'buy up' all of the bad mortgage loans and refinance them at the new value of the homes (which rewards the people who bought homes beyond their means and the predatory lenders, and makes the rest of the taxpayers pay for it) there will really be any tax cuts for anyone?
I also believe in personal responsibility, and think McCain isnt really promoting that at all. If you want to talk further FM me

I second that completely. I don't feel she is at all ready for VP. And if something were to happen to McCain while president she is NOT who I'd want to be president. I think she's fit for the job she has currently, not saying she has no pros but I think she lacks a lot in critical areas.

Re: NWR: Who Will You Vote For?
Why wouldn't you vote....?I don't know yet. I am so upset I had a chance to go to the debates tonight, but now won't be able to.... I am really energized to vote this election moreso than any other. This is the president who will be shaping my new life with a family so I want to make sure I make the most informed decision.

Re: NWR: Who Will You Vote For?
Why wouldn't someone vote? Especially a female! Do you know what the women before us went through so we can vote and the African Americans as well. I just can’t see how in 2008 anyone would not vote. This is really one of the only true freedoms we have. People in other countries (especially women) can’t vote. If you are not sure what the candidates stand for figure out your most important issue and look at what they stand for. If you don't understand the 'bail out' or have great health benefits look at something else you feel strong about. They both stand for so many different things not just one issue.Hey vote Obama b/c you hate Palin if you have to!
Sorry I just don't understand how people won’t vote and actually admit to it!
ETA: OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!

i am not going to go back and forth because I have done so too much in the past..dont want to argue...
bottom line is that Obama wants to tax people making more than $250,000..that includes businesses..small business that employee people like myself. businesses that are already struggling to pay their bills and taxes...if those bills go up...people like me get the boot...
not acceptable....and dont get me starting on govt run healthcare...

the whole mortgage loans thing is NOT Mccain's plan. I am sorry to say but this is something that is ALREADY part of the bail-out plan and in effect. McCain was criticized for saying it was his plan in the debates when in fact its not. I will post a site in a few that is called factcheck and after the debates it shows what each politician said that was wrong or right. And this is something they criticized him for, so i am sorry but this is already going on, it was a BIG part of the bail out plan.
Also, i dont agree with helping those out who messed up. But if we bailed out huge corporations and these a**hole CEO's who got greedy, then why is that ok and not bailing out home owners. Unfortunately, there are 7.4 million homes in foreclosure. Just in the tri-state area 14k homes went into foreclosure just in the month of August alone. Unfortunately, this effects our economy and there will still be problems if it doesnt get fixed somehow. To continue letting this happen will just hurt us.

Here is the site, i linked it directly to the second debate but it has the other debates too so you can look on the site for those factsit breaks down what each candidate was saying. Gives you the truth about their plans and how alot of what they say isn't exactly the way it is.

Re: NWR: Who Will You Vote For?
you are right espo....and rather than go back and forth on every issue... I simply say thisI am voting for myself. for the candidate who will help me and my family most in the long run and now. it may sound horrible to some...but i am not thinking of the poor and those on welfare and those who have too many kids that they cannot afford....I am thinking of my family and friends....those whose families came to this country in the true spirit of America...the right to freedom...Freedom to me is a privilege and an honor....and all the things that go with it should be worked for and deserved....done!

yet obamas economic plan is good for us? first, his inexperience scares me. then raising taxes? his plan is wholly unrealistic in this economy and likely harmful, potentially causing further loss of jobs. did you read about how 100 economists felt it was 'risky'? it also appears Obama knew there was a problem with subprime lending but didn't press for legislation to control it (one exaple- what did he do about the bill in 2005 that would tighten regulations on Fannie and Freddie? Nada). I could go on and on but Ill dont want to get into a huge debate.
aside from his economic plan, i too believe in personal responsibility and obama hasn't taken any for his sketchy and radical associations. JMO.
I am absolutely 100% for McCain/Palin!!!
