Okay, my grandmother wrapped all my almonds!!! One more thing checked off the list. Is it me or does the list get longer as the day gets closer? Shouldn't it get smaller? ARGHHHHHHH

I just made the minimum for the hall!! And it's only a week PAST my RSVP date !

I finally made my minimum too! We did so much scrambling to invite the B list that now I think we'll end up several people OVER minimum. Oh, well.

Thank god I never have to plan a party like this again!

Going to get my headpiece & veil tonight (I hope).

I still have no idea how I want to wear my hair, so that's a big factor, but if I don't get one soon I'm going to be in trouble.

I went and looked at your dress on the other thread, oakslady. It's gorgeous!

We've been taking dance lessons this week, and I'm totally convinced there's no way I can dance in my dress with its gigantic skirt. I'm practicing in the crinoline (it's delightful to be in a room full of people in your underwear)--but the skirt is twice as big as the crinoline. Yikes! If only FH was allowed to see the dress, we could practice dancing in it. Oh, well.

hi - we said it was more important to make sure the dance went well so we went to class in full costume and i am so glad i did because we had to modify some of the steps to accommodate the swing on the dress - not to mention because it is leather when it twirls it doesnt stop when i do so we had to add extra counts to allow for it

in my opinion you should dance in your dress that whole he cant see it is just an old wives tale - besides if you dont want anyone to know he saw it ahead of time dont tell them

I'm procrastinating on the honeymoon packing. I don't know why.

Everything for the wedding itself is done, but I keep forgetting there is life after the wedding. Mail to cancel, honeymoons to pack for, bills to mail, dog toys to pack for grandma's house, flight confirmations to print, etc.

Tuesday is my last day at work, so I can freak out and finish all that stuff next Wednesday. And now my family wants to argue about who gets Thanksgiving. Give me a BREAK!!!!

I'm stressing.

11 days.

Ok - i finally have 2 minutes to check in and say HI!!! Can you believe our weekend is almost here?!?!?!?! I am 10 days away today !

We finally booked our honeymoon - 10 days in Costa Rica YAY!!!!

Must wedding stuff is done - last fitting on Thursday and one more hair appointment on Sat.

FIL's are coming in next Wednesday.

Oh yeah and midterms started today and end THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING AT 5:00 I hope I survive....

Good luck to you all if I don't get a chance to check in again before our big days!!!

My friend is having a wedding at majestic gardens next saturday..im her maid of honor...shes doing a halloween (costumes welcome) wedding...should be interesting!

Well .. I knew I'd forget something.

There I was sitting by the computer last night -- working on the placecards.. and sort of watching the Food channel. They were doing a show on the Disney restaurants. They cut to how Disney does wedding cakes so of course I had to look.... and there was a Mickey & Minnie caketop big as life on the screen!!



SMACK me in the head! I NEVER bought one! Or even thought about it!

I have 8 days. Any suggestions??

I have to believe Disney would FedEx it to you. Do they have any kind of website for their wedding packages? (The ones where you can get married at Disney and they'll plan it for you )If you email those people, they'd probably know where to get the caketopper.

I guess I wasn't clear ... I don't want Mickey & Minnie. Just something nice that's not too $$$$. Someone suggested Commack wedding Center -- but that's pretty far for me.

Any stores in the East Meadow/Levittown area? Someone also suggested Tri-County.. do they have anything not too over the top?

Well girls, I'm signing off after today. I'm packing up everything from NJ and headed to LI and will be running around like a crazy woman finalizing things for the next couple of days.

Just wanted to wish all of you the best wedding day ever. Make sure to take deep breaths and enjoy every minute. Don't stress about the little details - everything will be perfect.

Thank you all for your kind words and ideas. I learned a ton from you ladies and I'm proud to call you my friends now.

Maybe after the holidays we can have a Halloween Weekend Bride GTG somewhere when Laudipop is in town.
