I know, I'm starting to think that, too! But then I wonder if I'm just being a big baby about it all. When we first got engaged, I thought I would make my friend be our unofficial coordinator like your FH's cousin (we call her 'rent-a-*****' because she's so good at dealing with vendors, customer service, etc.) But then she went a got a full-time job! Now she has no time to do anything else.

Day-of coordinators seem to be between $500-$1000.

Anyone else feel like the value you put on money has gotten skewed since you started planning your wedding?

ETA: Hey, Jen, are you guys going to use your home printer or take stuff to Kinkos?

We are going to print everything ourselves. Luckily my FH is great with computers (unlike myself), and he is in graphic design so he has the good programs to do it on.

Your view on money when planning a wedding becomes ridiculously skewed!!! Especially when it makes your life easier!

What I did today:

Booked the honeymoon.
8days in PR w/ 4 day cruise.

Just got a call from my invitation place - they will be here next week!!

Made up most of my program on the computer last night. Waiting on a couple things from the church to finish finish, but the design and template are done.

Slooooowly getting back to planning.

Thanks!! He's an 86 pound monster now!! That pic was when he was only 6 months.

I wish he were well behaved enough to be in the wedding, but we're going to take pics with him in between (with a training collar and a very strong leash - LOL).


Programs are almost the only thing I can work on right now, so I took a shot at them.

I'm feeling powerless and that stupid count down calendar makes me crazy!! How can there only be 93 days left!?!?!

I am sitting at work and just realized that with everything else going on FH and I do not have that much time to get everything done.

I think I need a weekend of tearing through my list!!!!

I really need one of those weekends but we have some many things coming up - birthday parties, housewarmings, family reunions, it never ends!! It's great that we have all these fun things to do but I need to get some of our stuff done!

The GOOD News:

Fed Ex just sent me confirmation that my invites will be in my eager little hands on the 5th.

Finished the whole program design (minus some confirmations from the pastor).

Got our guest book finished (used Ofoto to create a photo book with pics of us and made every other page blank for signing) It only cost $30 and I love it!!

The BAD News:

Tried on a billion pairs of shoes and can't find one pair I like!!

No dress yet. Or swatch. So therefore, no accessories.

FMIL is waffling on the RD, not sure where she wants to have it now. grrrr.


I'm beginning to enter hysteria phase. People ask me how it's going and I just start to laugh. No idea why. Anyone else?

Yup. Hit hysteria yesterday when looked at the number of weekends left (I can not get anything done during the week), and subtracted the number of weekends we are busy. Its crazy!!!

I think we will all be fine though!

I HAVE to get shoes for my first fitting and do not know what I want. Thats my big thing right now. We are also meeting with the church weddng planner tomorrow to go over the details (vows, hymms, etc). So hopefully we will be able to start our programs soon!

What truly makes me hysterical is when people act as if there's no reason to be worried or stressed--as if there's plenty of time and not much to do. Makes me crazy.

I finally got a swatch of my dress yesterday, but they still have no idea when the dress will be in. I read in lots of the bridal magazines that they're supposed to have a confirmed shipping date for the dress like 3 months before it's shipped. Is that a myth? The ladies at my salon all look at me like I'm nuts when I ask for a shipping date.

When's your first fitting, Jen?
