Let's see...this weekend we had our final meeting with the priest (until the rehearsal - whic we finally settled on a date for), approved our invite proofs (we should have them (fully assembled) next week, and we started to look at tuxes at Men's Warehouse (FH was a little overwhelmed by the large selection). Our rings will be ready tomorrow to be picked up and Thomas Knoell called to tell me my hairpins are done and I can pick them up. My first fitting is scheduled for next week and I am getting a little crazy now......

Lorsin - I love those programs - that's next on my list of stuff to do.

I LOVE those programs!!!

My first fitting is on September 2, 2004. I wanted to make it as late as possible bc I want to lose weight, and do not want to have to pay a bundle for them to keep taking my dress in.

I LOVE those programs!!!! They are so nice.

This weekend we picked out our wedding bands, met with the Church coordinator and finalized the church, FH got measured for his tux, did the rehearsal dinner invitations, and picked the pictures and did a template for our table cards (instead of numbering tables, naming them for cities we have travelled to, the card on the table will be a picture of us at each city with the name of the city on them).

It was a productive weekend.

We're having some work done on our house finally (we had a small yet damaging house fire in January of 2003 and are still dealing with repairs) so my weekend was filled with contractors and electricians.

FH went to play poker with his friends in Long Island (we live in NJ). He was supposed to go to Men's Warehouse to look at Tuxes and when I asked how it was, he said he forgot to go!!

So all I got accomplished this weekend was buying a calligraphy pen and a sample of organza ribbon for my favor boxes.

Time is moving too fast for me to keep up!!

We're going to pick our rings today and I'm going to pick up my hairpins this week. My first fitting is next week. I finished off the cry packs last night and now I am starting on the programs.

So much to do!!!!!

Our invitations are here!! Fed Ex delivered them yesterday. Now we need to stuff and write out the inner envelopes, which I'm going to try myself this weekend!

My invitations are in!!!!! And my envelopes are back from the calligrapher!!!!!! Both are more beautiful then I thought they would be. We are putting a dried flat rose in each invitation so I am waiting for them to finish and then we are ready to send!!

I am so excited. When I send them out I think it is really going to him me.

What does everybody have left to do??? Because I have TONS.

My invites are here too, I finished the inner envelopes last weekend and just need to compile them to get them out.

Bought my 'bridal undergarments' last night.

STILL NEED:

my dress & my BM dresses to come in.
FH to pick out a tux.
Parent gifts.
Groomsmen gifts.
OOT Bags.

Macy's just called - my dress is in!!

And the bridal shop for my BMs just called - their dresses are in!!

I bought the rest of the ribbon for my favors

I found 2 great baskets at Michael's for the programs and petal cones and bought ribbon and little pumpkins to decorate them with.

Bought black construction paper and just got the stickers in the mail that I am using for the inside of the petal cones.


Woo Hoo!! I left work early today and got lots done!! Gotta love flextime!!

Lorsin, I'm so jealous that your dress is in! I have no idea when mine will get here. Do you know when your first fitting is yet?

I had my shower last weekend! It was really fun and really weird to go to a wedding shower and actually be the bride! It's all starting to seem real.

I have to call and make the appointment and for some reason I just got really nervous about it!!

I guess it's finally sinking in that in 77 days I'm (we're) getting married!!
