we are starting with a week in a seculed cabin in the woods - then we are hitting 11 days to the islands on norwegian cruiselines
should be great fun 0- then we are ending with a few days in the city
all in all about 3 weeks
That sounds very romantic....and a secluded cabin in the woods fits with your theme!!
We're using NCL as well!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
Welcome!!I too am a pre-pre-pre-planner and would love to have every detail done today if I could!!
I'm starting to enter freak out mode because the first 200 days I was engaged went so fast I can barely imagine what the next 100 are going to bring!!
My current obsession is shoes and veils, however, my bridal shop can't seem to give me a swatch of my dress, so I can't do too much. I call Macy's once a week to check on it and see when my dress will be done. I think soon they are going to block my phone #.
Other than that, there is very little I can do right now. We're in the wierd limbo where the big things are done and the little things can't be done yet so I feel completely powerless!!

Wecome! Well Ladies I am at 99 days! And there is sooooo much to do. I hope to finalize invitations next week, order my veil and find the rest of my undergarments (stockings). Oh yeah and to add to my madness we added 2 people to our wedding party. I need to order another BM dress asap!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
Hi, jen22!This limbo IS weird--I've only been engaged since February, so most of the planning was a huge rush to catch up. There was no time to even breathe! But now all the big stuff is done...and I can't stop feeling like I have to frantically do something else.
Of course, there are a million little details that still need to be dealt with!
And my FMIL is still annoying me about the shower. Now she's decided that she was wrong about Jewish peeps not having showers. BUT she announced to me that she thinks it's bizarre that my MOH put my lingerie size on the shower invites. She's like 'You don't actually WANT lingerie, do you?' What am I supposed to say to that? Yes, I do, your son really likes it?

Its the little things that are making me crazy. The favors, the invitations, coordinating all my OOT people (which is the majority), etc. The highlight is crossing things off my list -- love doing that!

I love that too!! Especially when I cross off so much that I actually get to re-write my to do list!! I'm a little strange that way!!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
That's my favorite, too--when the list gets so sloppy from having things crossed off that you just have to make a new (shorter) list!I'm starting to get afraid that I've forgotten something really huge. Or else that all the vendors I've hired are gonna completely suck. It makes me feel so much better to read the LIW boards and see that other people are having nightmares, too!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
Um...nothing. I accomplished nothing at all. Maybe we needed to rest after the shock of hitting double digits!I DID get a call from my centerpiece vendors (we're making our own with ostrich feathers, and these are the ostrich feather people) telling me that they lost my order.
That was pretty special. The details are starting to seem overwhelming and I'm thinking of hiring a day-of coordinator. Is that insane?

I ordered my invitations yesterday and we started compiling our music list. Otherwise it was a pretty uneventful weekend. I can't believe I'm almost at 3 months!!!

Your posts always make me laugh! 'That was pretty special.'
I agree I think the shock of Double Digits sent me into a state of denial.
I don't think you are insane at all. When I think about that day and all the details I often wonder how I am going to handle it all. Fortunately, my FH's cousin is great with this stuff and has been my unofficial coordinator and will handle things for the day so I don't need to worry about them.
My motto lately is if it brings me piece of mind, the extra costs are worth it!!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
How much do you think a day of coordinator would be? Its really not a bad idea.My FH and I talked about the wedding all weekend, threw out some plans, but in the end got NOTHING done. We are going to do a lot of the printing (menus, charity scrolls, phamphlet for welcome baskets, programs, etc) ourselves, so we went to Kate's Paperie. We made some tentative decisions but did not buy anything yet.
I decided on gifts for certain people, but again haven't actually bought them yet.
My mom got her dress!!! Thank god! So that got done. Chocolate brown chiffon. I am going to see it this weekend. My girls are wearing antique gold so it should be nice.
