Thanks Lorsin! My fitting was great - I love my dress. I have pics but they need to be resized - so I'll work on them tonight.

I had my shower this weekend and I got a ton of really nice stuff - it was soooo much fun!

My invites are in - so I am going to pick them up today - Hooray!!!!!

My to do list is getting smaller!

Lorsin you sound like my twin. Although, my first fitting is September 2nd - but Friday night my FH and I have a date with a bottle of wine and our invitations. We hope to send them out Saturday morning.

Do you have your shoes for your fitting? I ordered mine online and should get them next week. I am also deciding between two pairs of earrings, so I am going to bring them both and try them on with the dress to make a decision.

Its getting SOOOO close!!!!

Got my invites today. Stuffing them over the weekend. My first fitting is Sept 13.

Here we go!!! (i feel like I am at Coney Island on top of the Cyclone looking down -- just before the drop!)

They won't say. They 'think' sometime in mid-September, and they act like I'm crazy for being worried about it.

That's what they told me too about my BMs and my gown. 'Don't worry honey - we'll have plenty of time!!'

I was freaking out, but then they called last week (1 week after they told me Sept) and said they were all in (2 different places).

Hang in there!!

Stuffed my little fingers off this weekend!!

Almost done - just need to add a little stuffer with directions etc. - the paper company sent me the wrong mini-cards, so I have to reorder today!!

Running to the post office at lunch to get pricing and buy stamps!!

Got my disposable cameras, ordered Golf Umbrellas in case of rain, FH FINALLY got his tux taken care of.

AND....I have a sneaking suspicion that my shower may be this weekend.

Lorsin, when are you sending out your invites? What's everybody's RSVP date?

I have a similar problem with the direction cards, but it's my own fault. I picked them up from the hall when I was in NY last week, and then I left them there at my mom's when I flew back home to California! Oops. So I have to wait for them to be sent here before I can finish stuffing.

I'm sending them out this week, pending I get all my fillers in. My RSVP date is Sept 30th.

I just spent $110 buying postage!!!

Little things here and there have been tipping me off.

My sister-in-law mysteriously changed her mind about having a small Christening for my nephew and decided to have one at my favorite restaurant.

A couple people from work just assumed I'd be in NJ this weekend, when I'm usually out in Long Island.

FH is suddenly helping me get things organized in the house without me having to ask. We just redid our whole living room and I told him I wanted it all done prior to the shower since people will want to see our house.

It's all subtle and I'm not 100% but I'm leaning that way.

You are such a good detective! I had an idea about my shower as well, I think it is impossible to keep the whole thing a secret - there are always clues!

I had my shower on Sunday!!!! I was very suspicious. It was such a nice day and I am upset its over.

My mom and BMs did it in my mom's backyard with rented tables and a tent. All the girls bought a appetizer dish and my mom catered in some food as well. I could not believe all the people that came! It was too bad that my FH's family was not there, but there are in London (and Canada and California), so it was only my side. The favor was adorable - drink mix for a Hurricane - perfect for FH and I who met in New Orleans while drinking Hurricanes. Loved it!

I got SOOOO much stuff!!! Almost all my china, and all my stemware - which I registered for a lot of. I also got my silver from my BP which I thought was so nice. Since my FH and I live together, we really did not have that much stuff that we needed.

AND my invitations (except for 12 - long story) went out today!!!! FH and I brought them to the post office to be hand canceled.

Our day is coming quickly girls!!

I will try to post pictures when I get them.

When I picked up my stamps yesterday my post office told me hand cancelling was a myth and that they wouldn't do it!!

I'm going to a different one to do it. Finishing all the pieces tonight and mailing tomorrow!!

Ugh. It just seems wrong to have to spend so much money on postage, doesn't it? Is everybody getting their invites hand-canceled? Mine are in these weird mailing tubes, so I'm not sure it even matters--they're never going to look all pristine and formal, anyway.

I love that they said it was a myth! Lorsin, are you sure the other post office will do it?

I went today and they (I) did it. They just handed me the stamp.

I think it's because it was a female instead of a male. She cooed over them and helped me load in the bin so they wouldn't get bent. Very nice!!

I don't think you need to do that in the tube - the prettiness of your invites is all on the inside.


Can you girls believe we are getting so close?

Next Wed is my first fitting and next Fri is the 'final meeting' with my hall.
