My BM's were VERY EXPENSIVE, and NOT WORTH IT! I should have had a smaller bridal party, composed of ONLY the women who I knew cared about me!!! My MIL threw a big temper tantrum when I got engaged and insisted that I make 4 of DH's cousins BM's. 2 live in Italy. So, my compromise was to have the 2 American cousins in the bridal party. And, they turned out to be witches on the day of my wedding!

I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks so much for starting this post, Im sure itll come in handy for the rest of us:) ITs funny you should mention the dying of shoes, because I just recently got rid of a pair of shoes that were dyed purple to match the dress I wore and they were only worn once.

Oh no.. You should have had them redyed black. For like 5-10$. Unless you didn't like them. In that case.. Good for you! I am the worst at throwing stuff.. Such a packrat!

the big problem with dyables is, as soon as your feet sweat (all feet sweat), the color runs. I have been a MOH 4 times ....so I know. oh and if it rains that day, the shoes are a gonner!

dont spend a fortune on them - i got all my invited for less than $125.00 and people couldnt stop telling me how unique they were - dont bother spending a fortune it isnt worth it

you can get beautiful flowers for a fraction of the cost if you go with flowers in season at the time of your wedding - most florists wont tell you that - our flowers cost less than $1,000 for all of it
go with a neighborhood florist - dont spend the extra money on a wedding florist i dont think it is worth it - i got a quote from a wedding florist in port jeff for $6,000 for the same order i got from fine designs for less than $1,000
shop around.

The cry packs- I dont even know what happened to them- and no one got them? I was annoyed!!! about the shoes, my girls had full lenght too but you can see them when they walk- I think if they had a black shoe with light colored dress it would stand out, it would have def in my pictures.

I would've skipped the ribbon wands. The church wouldn't let people throw anything, so I ordered wands from eBay instead.

The ribbon color came in wrong and I ended up re-making all of them. I didn't even get a picture of people waving them.

I have also heard a lot of people say that the table cameras were a waste. I partially agree with that.

We got a few good pics (nothing frameable, though), but most were of stupid things. People took pictures of food...

Also, nobody tells you that the developing gets pricey!

Agree here too- people loved mine and they were only 200 total.

The things I spent the most on were my band(they were incredible and made the party) and food and drink. I made my own centerpieces and they looked beautiful for 20 a table.

I know I will get flamed for this but have a very small bridal party or none at all. I just had my sister and I don't feel like I missed out on anything. My brother's wife planned my bachelorette party and it was a blast since there was no wedding drama. My sister did my shower with lots of help from my mom who loves to do that stuff. I HAD NO DRAMA due to a wedding party- it made my day SOOO much easier. My sister was a wonderful MOH and all I needed.

Paying a lot for pew bows and flowers. I didnt even notice them. They werent in any pictures, you can make great looking ones yourself.

I agree with this!
They are good in theory but the only ones that come out are close ups, and most people use them to take pics of the bridal party anyway. Also many people forget to use the flash.

I want to say my guest book, but the people that did sign it wrote the most beautiful things, I just wish that more people saw it and or wrote us messages.

I purchased, but did not use a tiara. I ended up with the hair pins. I love the tiara, but the pins won out because of my veil. I should have planned that one out better. So I wasted about $115. Maybe I will sell it on eBay or LIW.

signing frame...wishing well.....2nd pair of wedding shoes.....wedding dress.

(just to clarify, I of course would have worn the same dress, but I found it for almost 30% less after I paid for 1/2 of it......I would definitely recommend shopping around for price even if you have found *the one*)

OOhh and Table cameras.....hardly any pictures came out from those little disposables

I'm not married yet but I do have a suggestion. The more bm's you have the more your florist bill will be. I didn't think about this until I started looking for florist and realized the expense. Just something that didn't come to mind until after the fact. I got so bride happy that I envisioned the big bridal party in pictures w/o thinking about the expense. This is of course aside from the bridal party gifts. With all that said, I don't regret it but just wanted some brides to keep that expense in mind

I wish we did not order all these favor bags from www.sumcards.com to put the favors and the cake boxes in to give to our guests. Each guests receive a bag filled with favors and other goodies. The bags were extremely pricey and after the wedding we had a lot left over even though the bags were beautiful and made out of asian fabrics.
