eek. Maybe ill just end up giving them a list of hotels they can book on their own then...
thanks for the info ladies!
At Best Western & Executive Inn you need to reserve minimum 10 rooms..and in order for ytour guests to keep the group rate you must book 80% of the rooms you block... if you don't meet the 80% the rate just reverts back to the regular rate for everyone...your credit card doesn't get charged anything!
That is one of the reasons i didn't block rooms at the FH Inn, & also because it was about $100 more than the Best Western...

btw- just curious if anyone who is having an 11:30 ceremony was told that you couldn't be on the grounds before 9 am?? FH and I were told that he couldn't be there early by Denise b/c there would be no one there to greet him. I really wanted to get a move on the pics so we don't miss the CH at all
I am in the same boat, originally I was told 9 but recently told 9:30 so I will need to get a clear answer. I wanted to start earlier than this as well since we have an n11:30 ceremony and we really want to get most pics out of the way (we are seeing each other before the wedding).

Good luck to all of you having an upcoming wedding!!!! I hope only the best for you.Congrats to the few that just had weddings and for the post wedding pics and reviews. Everything looked awesome.
I can't believe I just read through like 8 pages of posts that I missed out on. Haven't been able to check the site or do any wedding planing often lately. Thanks for all the info. I never would have thought about the arriving two hours in advance thing.. That sounds odd. I agree on not missing the cocktail hour for pics, especially if you are paying for the wedding your self. I'm all ready under the impression 1/2 of the reception will be wasted just greeting guests and going around tables and doing the 'wedding stuff' like first dance, garter belt, cake cutting...etc. Hello, I want to party too!!!
Also, If anyone wants to get candy jars, the Michaels near my house, at least, has glass vases and jars. Even though Fox Hollow says they can provide them, I'm thinking maybe picking up at least one and decorating it. Hopefully they won't charge by 2010.
I'm gonna call today (hopefully) to look into Booking Rev. Nick finally!!!!

I figure, since im staying at the Inn the night before, I'll have FH and the photographer come to me at 9am at the Inn and we'll start pics there..then we'll head over to the Fox hollow grounds to take pics... I heard that the bridal attendant will come to my room at the Inn and take my stuff over for me to put in the bridal suite? (ie-touchup makeup, sneaker for reception..etc)

It went well, yes. I have Roger and Jennifer as my maitre d and bridal att ... you may have annmarie, she is doing a nigh affair. I hope jennifer isn't the one linda had who she said was not good
I never heard that name before ...But we dropped allll our stuff off, I only forgot the sample placecard holder and placecard (to show them how I wanted it set up - i might bring it by this week). My parents were there and matt's parents met us their for drinks - they live in FL and had never seen the room, so it was nice to show them before sat. the bartender in the rest. is also working my cocktail hour, and he is a sweetie, gave us a few free drinks. i think i had 1 too many because i woke up with a nasty headache and a little nauseous.
It is reallllly getting real now. I am feeling butterflies a LOT. My first BIG feeling of them was yesterday .. i imagined a friend of mine who just got married in august, all dressed up for MY wedding as I was for hers -- and I imagined myself saying hello to her as she did to me -- and oh my god my stomach is flip flopping as I write it! Something about imagining myself IN THE MOMENT makes me get the butterflies.
I asked Frank about saying hi to you as I am leaving and you are coming ... and at first he was like NO, absolutely NOT! You know they have a thing about brides seeing each other. But I said, but we are friends! what if we both WANT to see each other?? He said 'maybe'
It would be great if we could get a quick picture!!! Have fun on Thursday!!!! I'll be at my RD when you are there!
