Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Ok I just spoke to Dave and he said they don't comp rooms unless your affair will exceed $7k/$8k.I think that is a little crazy because if I am spending $6k that doesn't entitle me? But whatever, I'm just going to book and that's it.

I believe there are only certain times of the year where they offer a free room (like in the 'off season') but hey..there is no harm in trying! :)
I would think February is the off season right? Try calling Frank.
February is definitely an off seasonam I'll wait a day or two then call Frank. Lol

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
What!, you get a room if you spent over 7-8k WTH. I didn't get a room and i am givening them at least 15k that is almost double what they told you.
now i am getting a little mad , i like it better when they said it was all about what month you get marry in.

Sorry I didn't mean to make you mad. Maybe because your getting married in April. Their off season is usually Jan- Mar. But in either aspect if you're spending that much I think you should get a room. I know it's also based on availability. But I think it's ridiculous anyway. You would think if this is an establishment that has an inn they would kind of use this as a selling point. Like if you were getting married in the balrrom of a hotel, they would usually give you a room without you having to ask. It's almost like they go hand in hand. But I'm over it now anyway. We're going to just book on our own. I don't need any unecessary stress and this is certainly not worth it.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I dealt w/ Ron before he left. When our wedding day was potentially going to be in march, he threw in the comp room at the Inn, but then took it away when we switched to June, so i believe if you are in Jan through March you should be able to get it.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
It would be nice to be given a room. When I booked with Dave, he made it clear that rooms were an incentive for winter months only. I plan on getting ready at the Inn so I will definitely be staying there a couple of nights.Don't stress over it, relative to all you've paid already...it's not worth it.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Just wanted to pop in and give you girls a short review of the fox hollow. They were really excellent from start to finish. I arrived at 10AM and my DH was already there - unbelieveably - and my bridal attendant and maitre d met me at the door of the limo. Dh was brought down to the 'meeting spot' and the photographer was there also. They guided me to the meeting spot and he saw me and I almost cried
We took pictures and Jen, my bridal att., asked if we wanted drinks - and since the bartender wasn't there she had to make them herself - and she made Dh a kickasss bloody mary from what I heard. (he went out the night before and only went to bed around 5am, up at 8 ... needed somehting to wake him up I guess) She made me a great mimosa too.
She brought food into the lobby when we were taking some pics there (i hate that photo studio there and found other places for pics). we took more pics and then went into the bridal suite for some r&r before the outdoor ceremony.
food was excellent for the most part. I didn't like my chateau briand, but everyone else who had it loved it. the cake -- oh my gosh it was soooo good. we got carrot cake. Delicious. I am freezing it tonight but cutting us each a piece first.
They sent us home with tons of cookies, pastries from the viennese trays. I can't stop eating the pastries. amazingly good.
the bartenders rocked - this one guy, mike, always had a drink ready for us. i have to say that at the reception, i felt like i didn't see jen that often. i got myself drinks most of the time. dh was a little mad once because he asked for a drink and 15 mins later he still did not have it, so he just got up and got it himself. and a few times, i had to ask a waiter or the maitre d where she was. but when she was there and helping me, she did a good job.
the whole day i was on cloud nine. I felt like people catered to me left and right aside from the few issues i had with jen. (so much so that the next day, it was strange when people were NOT doing whatever you wanted, all the time! wonder if other brides felt that?) i want to do it again minus the planning. i had a fabulous time and really enjoyed myself allllll day.
and the inn - oh my. what a wonderful way to spend your first night as husband and wife. the bed is to die for, the bathroom awesome, the free champagne and chocolates were great (i had to ask the front desk if I would be charged for taking them though, wasn't sure!) ... breakfast was amazing ... we were in bed by 12 since we were up early and friggin exhausted (after party was from 7 to about 11) and then were up at 8am the next day - we got a late checkout (1pm) and got breakfast, played around
, took a long shower, went back down to the breakfast room to have more coffee and read the paper -- just a nice relaxing morning. i still have no pics .. hope to have them soon!!!!

Jen,Just got home from work and yours was the first post I read.... so happy that you had a wonderful day!!!!!!!!!! We're doing the same thing, taking pics beforehand, so we have to set up the meeting spot too.
Glad to hear that the room at the Inn was very comfortable too! My sisters and I will be staying over the night before, and then FH and I have a room there for our wedding night.
Still looking forward to pics!!!!!!!!
And send some of those pastries over this way!!!!

I think the free night has to do with: your type of event and if in off season (i believe jan-mar)
