YAY Jenn, you went to fox hollow tonight right? How did it all go? Did you remember everything? I'm going on thursday night to bring everything! I'm so excited for us! I cannot believe that in 5 days we will be getting married at the same wonderful place in the same beautiful room! Don't mess it up too much for me ok? LOL!!!!!

It went well, yes. I have Roger and Jennifer as my maitre d and bridal att ... you may have annmarie, she is doing a nigh affair. I hope jennifer isn't the one linda had who she said was not good I never heard that name before ...

But we dropped allll our stuff off, I only forgot the sample placecard holder and placecard (to show them how I wanted it set up - i might bring it by this week). My parents were there and matt's parents met us their for drinks - they live in FL and had never seen the room, so it was nice to show them before sat. the bartender in the rest. is also working my cocktail hour, and he is a sweetie, gave us a few free drinks. i think i had 1 too many because i woke up with a nasty headache and a little nauseous.

It is reallllly getting real now. I am feeling butterflies a LOT. My first BIG feeling of them was yesterday .. i imagined a friend of mine who just got married in august, all dressed up for MY wedding as I was for hers -- and I imagined myself saying hello to her as she did to me -- and oh my god my stomach is flip flopping as I write it! Something about imagining myself IN THE MOMENT makes me get the butterflies.

I asked Frank about saying hi to you as I am leaving and you are coming ... and at first he was like NO, absolutely NOT! You know they have a thing about brides seeing each other. But I said, but we are friends! what if we both WANT to see each other?? He said 'maybe' It would be great if we could get a quick picture!!!

Have fun on Thursday!!!! I'll be at my RD when you are there!

i just popped on and saw your post!!

i had Jen for our Bridal attendant..and she was AMAZING!! i couldnt ask for anyone better... she was always there when we needed her... she got out whole bridal party drinks the whole time...she was very on top of her game!

congrats again!! i cant believe its finally here!!

THANK YOU DEANNA!!! I was worried about her because I hadn't heard of her. Is she the same Jen that does the menu, linens appointments?

Thanks for the good wishes and for the info about Jen!!! How are you doing?????

NO, its not the same Jen... i thought that too..
but she was really wonderful... dont worry about it at all!!
we got ready at the INN... and she came over and got us...and helped us bring EVERYTHING back to our room after the reception!!

i am doing good...almost a year already since we have been married!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I was under the impressin that the VH was 1 hour long, as in 1 extra hour to the party, meaning that my reception would be from 7pm - 1am. Apparantly I am wrong b.c last night Frank explained to me that the VH is not really a VH, but the Vienese table and that it included 30 minutes of overtime. If I wanted the full hour I would have to pay extra for it. Am I the only to be surprised to hear this?

I think I saw you at the Fox Hollow on Monday! I was the one labeling all the boxes with the receptionist who she said was getting married this weekend! I was talking to Frank before you, sorry we took so long - we were going over all the final details!

HAHA! Yeah that was me! Sorry I was really loud on the phone, I was talking to FH and he never remembers anything I say. LOL. My sister /MOH was telling me to shut up. It's funny b.c I figured it was you, but I couldnt tell b.c of your profile pic.
And dont worry, you were entittled to take as long as you wanted that night. You must be super excited! You looked very reserved, concerned and stressed while you were talking to Joan. My sister was like, 'that girl handled it pretty well, b.c I know you would be loud going over the same thing over and over again.' in any event, congrats! it was nice seeing you. You will def. make a beautiful bride. Dont forget to post pics as soon as you can!

I think Joan is a little know it all and I don't ever like her tone ... she is always trying to guess what you are going to say and that bothers me. I know she's probably been there a while and that she hears the same questions a lot, but it's MY wedding and this is MY first time, you know, so I am going to ask those questions and I don't want to get the 'don't worry, we do this all the time, you have nothing to be concerned about' attitude. My fiance thought *I* was being snippy with her, when in face SHE was being snippy with me.

And I didn't even hear you on the phone, I was so absorbed in what I was doing!

I will try to post pics on Monday, but a few girls from the 08 board are coming to either my ceremony or after party and they might post pics on Sunday, on the 08 board.

We are having it at Finley's in Huntington. We've been going there for years, and the best man worked there, we know all the bartenders, etc ... it's about 15 mins from the Fox Hollow. There are TONS of bars in Huntington to choose from, too! A bar that is pretty close to the Fox Hollow is the Inn Between - it's in Syosset on Jericho, kinda across from the big Marshalls. Never been there but I heard it's a cute place. And there's also a martini bar (I think?) called The Rare Olive - on Jericho, in Huntington Station ... never been there but I think it's a loungey-martini bar type of place.

I have the same rooms as you and am having the same issue with the guest list. I really would like to have the round tables just cause I think they look nicer....but if I cant cut the list I will have to have the oval ones.

And I love the WGP!! I can't wait to see it the night of my wedding!! I love that the Briar Fox has a fireplace right behind the sweetheart table. So romantic!

We have about 170 on the guest list... but there are a few more people we'd like to add. I'm just a little worried b/c FH is EVERYONE's favorite relative..lol.. so we even know of relatives of his that are coming from Puerto Rico for the wedding... And its not like we're inviting people we haven't seen. or aren't close to, so we worry EVERYONE invited will come (i'd love them to,of course but i don't want to be cramped). UGH....stress!!!

Thank you for the ideas..we're not from the area so this is great info!!! We may just go somewhere spur of the moment..so it's great to have options.. I already told my FH that wherever we go, I'm not getting out of my dress!! HAHA...he thinks I'm NUTS!!
