i was in the winter garden pavilion. there were gold frames with the table numbers in them. wish i had pics!

Thank you!!! The gold frames will go perfectly with my color scheme. I'm in the WGP room also.

Now one other question...when you call in your final count, do they give ypou your total amount right then over the phone? I am only asking because according to all the paper work that AnnMarie gave us at the final arrangements meeting, it states that I have to call on 2/5/09. With my final count and that they only accept certified check, bank check or cash for the final payment. I would need to know beforehand the amount that's due right?

Please excuse me ladies. It seems like with only 2 weeks to go my ignorance is getting the best of me. I really appreciate ALL the help you ladies have given me.

when u call with your final count, they will tell you how much you owe. you then set up a time to come in the week of your wedding, that is when you drop off all your stuff and make your final payment. hth!

hi girls!! old timer here..
wondering if anyone is going to Fox Hollow for Valentine's day for dinner?!!

i got a email with a dinner package.. i think it would be so romantic !!

ETA.. we just called to make the reservation and they only have 5pm and 9pm available.. those times stink!! oh well . .

I saw the email too and it looked very tempting but too expensive for us at this point. If you go, let us know how it was!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Sorry guys, I posted this in the general chat yesterday, but didn't really get anywhere with that and Dave (my BM) is out today so I'm waiting for a phone call back... I also figured you guys may have the direct answer/ opinon/ or similar situation that.
Right now i'm so fustrated

Has anyone had a family member do their centerpieces? I was told at the Tea party that even the florist must be insured for this ridiculous amount of $$.

I called last night and spoke to Frank who told me that my MIL (a retired florist who has done many weddings before) can take out a policy rider against her house. I don't want to ask her to do that... not for something like > $1million. My FH talked to his mom who said she's never had to do that and the rider is like $900. It would probably be cheaper to get the centerpieces made by a 'real' florist, but she has her heart set on doing them. Frank did say, however, she can still do my BOK's and butineers.. i don't get it...

I want low - non candle centerpieces that I cannot foresee anyone getting injured with or setting the place on fire. (And what happens if my MIL's home made BOK pokes someone in the eye... i mean really?)

Was anyone allowed to sign a waiver or anything of the sort? Didn't someone say once that they used candles they purchased for centerpieces or for placecard holders? Wouldn't that be the same thing? What if a placecard candle set the place on fire!

Also, has anyone asked any florist if they were really insured for that amount?
I just made florist appointments for 2 weeks from now for 'just in case'

Sorry for all the questions, my FH and I thought we had things set and now we're thrown for a loop!

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

WHen I was at the tea party... I remember specifically if you have a friend or a family member that MUST be your vendor... you can book them with out the 1MM policy. They have to work something out with Fox Hollow

Do you ladies know if the Fox Hollow has a grooms suite. I know they have the bridal suite but I was just woindering if they had one for the groom. I do know that some halls have both.

There is no groom's suite. The Bridal Suite is for everyone in the BP including the parents.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hey! Just wanted to let everyone know I got married at Fox Hollow Two Weeks ago and it was AWESOME! They took care of everything. I had Harry as the Maitre'd and Anne Marie as my bridal attendant. It was so much fun. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I didn't ask for chair covers but that day I guess another party had them and they asked if it was ok to leave them on. Of course I said sure! I put some pictures in my albums if you want to see some. I will try to write a full review soon and include better pics. Any questions I will try to help.

Thanks.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Bump

For ladies getting married at the Fox Hollow, nothing to worry about. I was in a bridal party there yesterday, we were the only wedding going on. They made sure we knew where we were supposed to be when, and even though the BM's and bride arrived an hour late, we still got all the pictures and stuff done.

They brought in bagels and danishes for the guys who were there taking pictures, and brought in a veggie tray and tomato and mozzarella salad before the ceremony.

After the ceremony the bride and groom were brought a sample of dishes from the cocktail hour to the bridal suite, everything was delicious!!

I cannot wait for my wedding there in January. As I get pictures (thomas paul was the official photographer, waiting for friends pictures) I will see if I can post some. the Cocktail hour was in the Rose Hunt restaurant, the reception was in the Winter Garden Pavilion, with 150 guests

Might I ask, how was the WGP with 150 guests? I've wondered if it's too tight for that number. Any help is appreciated.
THANKS!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

it was a little tight, but it was manageable. The only time I saw any concern was when they had out the entree trays in the aisles to serve people, it took up some of the room to get by. But there was still plenty of room on the dance floor, there were 3 rows of tables

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Congrats! I'm sure the next two weeks will fly right by!!! (and I'm right behind you a week later )

I know this was discussed a few months ago, but I can't seem to find the information...I'm using the large oval tables in the Garden Terrace room. How many do they seat comfortably? Fox Hollow says it's 14, but I'm not convinced...

Thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hey girls! For those who got married or know the answer to this- I am having my reception in the WGP and I am starting to do the seating charts and I was wondering, can 11-12 people fit comfortable at a table? Are the tables big enough for comfort? Any info would be much appreciated. TIA!
