Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Does FH provide bathroom baskets?

If not, is it foolish to make one if 2 other parties might be using them??

Does anyone know what the placement of the cake is in the Winter Garden Pavillion? Is there a place for it or do they just roll it out when it's time to cut it?

TIA

ours was ona table over near the fire place.

Thanks!

I heard that they didn't provide them. I'm not making them... i've been too many weddings that didn't have bathroom baskets and I didn't miss it.. just another added expense...

So i dropped everything off at the Fox Hollow last night for Saturday. I was supposed to see Denise but she left a message saying she needed to re-schedule but I didn't check my voicemail so I went anyway. I ended up dealing with Frank who I absolutely LOVED! He was running a little late so he bought us a drink at the restaurant and then took care of everything. He was so funny and helpful. They are very detail oriented and take an inventory of EVERYTHING. So it makes you feel very confident that everything will be taken care of.

That is great. Wow..you're getting married Saturday??? GOOD LUCK!!!

Is there any choice in this matter? This may sound weird but did the cake melt at all?
Just curious....

They told me they took care of that. I never went in that bathroom to see them, but there was 3 other parties the night of my wedding, so i can't imagine they didn't do them.

no it didn't. I had fondant. Let me find a pic so you can see where it was.... Im not sure if I have one that shows well where they had it, but I'll look....

OKay I found a pic but I had to blow it up to see the cake so Im not posting it. But they had it to the left of the fireplace if you are facing it. It wasn't like in front of it. But really dont worry. They do 3 weddings a night 2 times a week for a loooooong time. Im sure they know where it is okay to put the cakes. Even if it is buttercream, I dont think it will melt.

I went as well... thought body rock was good and their presentation was different but we decided not to book an appointment with them based on a few things we noticed. The band was very good too.. too bad I can't afford a 10 piece band at my wedding nor have the space for the extra head count..lol

I did like the sherwood triat photography and the ADA one as well. Did anyone use either of them? any comments on their work/ style/ ease to work with/ etc?

It was surprising to be told that almost all the brides there were 2010 -2011 and that I should have all ready begun looking for/ booking my florist. We weren't planning on that until June/July.. Guess I have to bump my planning schedule up! When did/ does most of you plan on looking for flowers? how far before your wedding? My FH thinks that they were just looking to push us into it early for $$. (he's always skeptical)

Just a note: I was ecstatic when I pitched my cake idea to the girl from Cakes by Jay and she said she is totally willing to work with us where I haven't gotten a positive response from anyone else I inquired too!

Hey ladies, I thought I should share this with you guys. I took my e-pics 3 weeks ago at the Fox Hollow (I was concerned at first b.c I am having my reception there as well, but TJ was very creative). My E-pics are in my album.

Sherwood's work is flawless. The quality of their pictures are out of this world. I am def. a fan of their work... if I had the extra $ I would have booked with them.
