Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Can some of you past brides give me an idea of your timeline for the recption if you could remember? I emailed Ann Marie and asked her for an approximate timeline for the reception so I could forward the info to the dj and she responded to me. Based on her map out of the evening it doesn't seem like there's a lot of time for dancing. Here's what she told me: 7pm ceremony
7:30-8:30 cocktail hour
8:45- bridal party introduced
Right after that we go right into our first dance
Then the guests will be seated. Then the toasts followed by the waiters coming around to take everyone's order. The appetizer will be served around 9-9:10 followed by salad. Dinner will be served about 10-10:10 then cake cutting around 11:15.

I know this is probably the norm for most weddings but it justs seems like theres not enough in between time for dancing and mingling with the guests. I mean I LOVE food but it just seems like we'll be eating ALL night lol. I guess things are so different when it's your own wedding. Cause I swear that when I've been to other weddings that we eat then dance all night lol.
Now I also know that this is just an estimate and that things may change on the day of but I was just curious how all of your days were.

TIA

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Are you going to be greeting your guests during the CH? If so, then you don't have to do it at the reception which leaves PLENTY of time for dancing.
After the ceremony you'll go right into your CH (if you choose), then about 15 mins before the reception starts your bridal attendant will pull you and FH out of CH and put you in the bridal suite to get ready for introductions. Your wedding should pretty much start on time. BP gets introduced, then you and DH, then you go right into the first dance. After that, you sit for your appetizer (which is already on the table. If you took the Duet, it gives you more party time) and they come around and take your dinner order. Then you're free to dance till dinner comes. That is pretty much the biggest dancing break bc after dinner you do the parent dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss (if you're having it), then dessert is served.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Thank you so much!!! We do plan on going to cocktail hour for a little while and we're not doing the parent dances. We're not even sure if we're doing the bo k toss. So I guess I'll have plenty of dancing time after all.

I thought going to CH would have taken away from the excitement of being introduced. But it didn't at all. If you can greet your guests at CH, do it and get it out of the way. If you want to be partying, you NEED that reception time.
We did the Bouquet toss and all of that. So, after dinner we didn't have as much time to party. But, if you're cutting all that out, you should have no problem.
Enjoy your day!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Does anyone know what the placement of the cake is in the Winter Garden Pavillion? Is there a place for it or do they just roll it out when it's time to cut it?

TIA

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

So i dropped everything off at the Fox Hollow last night for Saturday. I was supposed to see Denise but she left a message saying she needed to re-schedule but I didn't check my voicemail so I went anyway. I ended up dealing with Frank who I absolutely LOVED! He was running a little late so he bought us a drink at the restaurant and then took care of everything. He was so funny and helpful. They are very detail oriented and take an inventory of EVERYTHING. So it makes you feel very confident that everything will be taken care of.

Our DJ asked us what we wanted the reception timeline to be and we told him. he did it how we wanted- the hall only decided when cocktial hour and dinner would be. We decided the rest.
