Hey. I've been watching this tread alot!!
Have a question ot ask you indian brides??
How long is your wedding ceremony and reception?? Are you having it on the same day?? I know hindu ceremonies are long so I was wondering how you are scheduling your time.
Thanks in advance

we went to Sitar, and they refuse to do anything after the lunch (not even taking the garbage out and we did offer to pay more)
so not we are thinking to hire one of family's maid, but we can't guarantee she will show up at that day)
so we still looking for a caterer will do that for us.
beside that, everything is fine
so how's your planning?

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Jlu, I like the make up bag better, JMOand we are ordering our favors from india, .so does my jewerly and some other small thing, my FMIL is in india now, so I let her take care them.
and I am buying my BM their DOJ, tote bags, pictures frame (with a pic of me and BM) and one more thing which I haven't decide.
Rahana
my FH is a Sikh, so our ceremony has to be in the morning. and the reception at night
I went to a hindu wedding b/4 and they had the ceremony right before the reception (they started at 2:30 and end at 4:30) and the cocktail hour statred at 6pm. and we just sat and talk in btw. (some of guest used the time to change to a different outfit)

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
hey jlu --I like the makeup bag... you can put a photo maybe not of you guys but of something you guys did together, like a random shot of the background of the park if you went to central park together... let us know what you decide!
