Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Gibi, today I passed by the garment district in nyc and saw a whole sales/ retails frabic stores had some saree samples outside, so I went in and asked them about material
They said they had material for sarees ( 6 yards), and they told me they had a lot of sarees, and they have more than 8 for the same saree.
I don't know what exactly the situation there, ( can they make the top too or you only buy the material and then make it somewhere else)
Why don't you take a trip there and take a look yourself. and here is the information:

Royal
Fashion centre Inc.
214 W 39th St. New York NY 10018

I dont know can they help you or not, neither I don't know they have the color you want or not, but that area has many fabric store and many of them own by Indians.

Jiji, we are getting married in Nov, so I hear you...
first of all, you should think about to do you want the most in HM, you want beach? sight seeing? mountain get away?
we know we want beach and sight seeing, so we rule out Europe, and then we want Caribbean, Nov is the hurrican season. the only save area is Aruba, trinidad, grenada & Barbado and we didnt want to go to Mexico.
we were very close to choose Barbado, but end up we decide to go to Aruba.
My suggestion is, talk to your FH to see what do you want the most and then check what is a good place to go in Nov. Greece and Europe for sure is too cold.

Your right...i really want to do somewhere tropical...warm...since it is november...i have to find out about hurricane season, THIS WEEK we thought about Turks & Caicos.....i sware everyweek we wanna go somewhere different

Both of us know we want somewhere warm, thats just about it......yep, Greece and Europe is definitely out!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Jiji, we are gong for 7 day, 6 nights too and around the same time (ours are 2 wks later)
I think Mexico is very good choice, I heard Cancun is very pretty ( and you are going in Nov. So you wont' see any 'Spring Break, Girls gone wild')

and I think maybe I will use Habibs in Hickvills for makeup/hair, not sure yet, I will decide after a trail.

i noticed the day you get married, i'll be leaving for my honey moon :) I met Ginni from Habib's yesterday, her work seems great. My friend also told me about Neelu's Khubsoorat on the corner of old ctry rd and Jerusalem ave. I'm going for a trial with her on sunday...if all fails with that...i'll try Ginni at habibs and Leenas recommendation w/ the 'anty' from NJ :)
