Ok, good, thanks. I get nervous using travel agents because of some of the bad things I hear. But i'm glad you had a good experience and I might consider using them.

I think you should def. do your own research, get some idea how much a package will cost before you got to any TA. If your TA give your uncomfortable feelings, LEAVE! trust your instinct.

anyone knows someone in hicksville or long island tyhat can put a sari on . i want to pay someone who can put a saree on me and my five bridesmaid. anyone?

hey ladies. i got someone do the saree for my bridesmaids, my mother asked a friend of hers to help. one thing i dont have to worry about!

RGV, good for you, I'm glad you found someone. Are most of you girls doing saris for your bm's??? I feel like i'm the only one doing lenghas. I like them more and the girls can more more freely in them you know.

Planning is going.......I fell like this is the quiet before the storm for me because I still have a little bit of time that I don't have to crunch. But come like 2 months from now and I'll be pulling my hair out.

How's everybody else??

Can anyone give me the infro. of that 2 sisters in Jersey who do Mehndi? I know they are willing to travel to Long Island.

Hey,

I used this girl from NJ, Ruchi, she came with her mom, and they both did an awesome job. They traveled from NJ to Forest Hills. I ended up paying them $300 total but they must have put mehendi on a good 30-40 people.

Thats how i wanted to do it, but shes like, trust me, its better to do it per hour. We had them for almost 3 hours. They worked so fast it was amazing. so i could tell that they werent trying to gyp us by charging us hourly...

don't know if you guys saw platinum weddings this week but there was an indian wedding and it was the most beautiful colorful event. great ideas on there.

i think it was actually a rerrun from a couple of weeks ago but i could be wrong. also a wedding story on TLC used to have alot of indian weddings. made me wish i could have a gorgeous wedding like those. 4 day ceremonies!! amazing. i especially love the mendy (sp?) ceremony
