Hey did you guys use an american bridal salon for hair and makeup or an indian salon? Also, do you guys know any good salons around Flushing, Queens? I'm sooooo unbelieveably stressed out right now!!! Parents keep changing things around and I'm going nuts......please, I could really use your help. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!Also, RGV07, congrats on getting your gown, I can't wait to see it!!!!!

I'm having mine 2 days before the wedding. I'm using Nimisha from Mehak ( place on Hillside Ave. in Floral Park). Not sure how much I'm paying yet but she's sort of a family friend and I'm not going through the salon to have her. If you're interested, I'll give you her contact info.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Yeah I know, but it feels like since me and my Fh are doing everything the wayt they want, we basically have no say in anything. I'm just happy that I get my Rolls Royce!!!! LOL, I should be happy for a lot of things but right now, parents are just getting on my nerves with everything you know. Is that how it always is in the beginning?? A pain in the neck???

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
well my parents are typical indian parents , they want to invite the whole world, right now the guest list is expanding, mind you i only have like 20 friends, they have almost quandruple that, i dont even know half these people. But i bite my tongue because my parents are payin for the reception part!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Yeah same here. Since my parents are paying, I can't really complain about anything. My guest list consists of about 40 people including co-workers and they have over 100 that maybe I know a handful of. I guess that's typical with traditional parents. Hey who did you book as your photographer?? I'm interviewing them now and it's so hard to choose.

I just saw them on Saturday, I spoke with Glenn. I really like them as well, but I like another company also, House of Talent Studio. How did you make your final decision with Duval?
