MY Ceremony is upstairs, CH upstairs and Reception back upstairs. We gntyd 175 but I think we're going to have closer to 200.

Great thread

?? That doesn't sound right? All in the same room???

Oh Boy it's late in the day for me, I need some coffee, you're right.
Ceremony upstairs
CH downstairs
Ceremony upstairs..DUH!!!!
If weather permits we might have the ceremony outside but it's unlikely it will be warm enough in early May.

Wishing for a warm May!

I realized yesterday that I NEVER visit the BHB board (thank you Laura ) and totally forgot about this thread.

Where to start..we are scheduling a food tasting after the holidays (Tatum everything sounded GREAT when you went).

MY Ceremony is upstairs, CH upstairs and Reception back upstairs. We gntyd 175 but I think we're going to have closer to 200.

I noticed a lot of you are playing off the blue. I am going with the gold. My colors are champagne, ivory and gold. Lots of ivory candles. I'll post a pic of the CP I am now loving. It's a theme wedding-champagne theme so I'm using table names like Moet, Dom Perignon and decorating the cake with white grapes, ect.

I'm creating my own menus and place cards.

My photog is Camelot Studios and Pennylane Productions for video.

I'm so happy VYC has become so popular. I remember when Kellybride, Laura, Babylonbride and I were the only ones!!

Great thread

Girl, I am also focusing on the gold and having champgne color as my theme. I am also doing Calli lilie with orchids, what is the hanging from the CP candles?

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

I love hearing from you girls ! I have booked Patken as my photographer & videographer . They actually gave us a discount since we were booked at the Venetian ( i think $100 off). Both my brothers used Patken and they did an awesome job so we didn't look anywhere else. Prices seemed reasonable.

I am still trying to decide about music at the CH. My CH is in the regency room ( downstairs room with all the glass) . I can't decide if fI should have a steel band , DJ, or just let the Venetian pipe music into the room . Do you think that the room is too small for a steel band . Would it be too loud? Is anyone else having their CH in that same room and if so what are you doing?

By the way those CP are beautiful!

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

as for colors- i was going to use pink but i saw Laura's colors & i LOVED the blue- its so pretty. I will definitely be looking at velvet studio- i heard so many amazing things about them!!! Yeah the prices did go up but i've been keeping in touch with Daisy for about 2 months now so she still guarenteed me the price she gave - so i am saving money- its about $10- 15 more now!!!!

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

You said the room with all the glass..that I would think is the Hemingway Suite(smaller room on the side), but you said Regency...if you are having in the Hemingway suite, how many people are you haveing....if it is the Regency suite, I think it will be fine, the room is very big.

I am having a DJ but thinking of having the VYC pipe music in if I can save $$$.

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Thank you, Tatum.

The CH is in the Hemingway Suite. I spoke to Guilio today and he said that they could pipe music in.... He also said that if the weather is nice the steel band / dj could set up outside ....

We are having ~200

Oh I see, I went back and read, so you have another wedding that day too, hmmm, I wonder where their CH will be? To be honest, I was there before it was VYC for a wedding, and the CH was in the small room with that amount of people and it was a bit tight, I don't think you could fit a band in that room if everyone is in there....so you may want to think about that with the weather and all... hard to say...

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

I THINK I have FINALLY found MY DRESS!!! I went to Smithtown Demetrios on Sunday...I am going to sleep on it for a few weeks to be sure... It is princess with a chiffon overlay somewhat gathered...hard to describe...I also found BM dress that compliments it well, it is the same on the bottom, but I will not have them get theirs until I put $$ down on mine to be sure..

what about you?

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Your dress is beautiful ! and I love your CP!
By piping we just meant that the Venetian has speakers in those rooms and they can play music throughout the place.

I LOVE Maggies dresses too, I was leanign towards Suzanne, then Chantilly, but wasn't 100% in love with eithe for certain reasons...I was set on the corset back, which most of hers have...so I was sticking to her dresses, then I decided to branch out and went to Demetrios...well this dress isn't corset but everything else makes up for it so it sits well with me...

besides, with corset backs you can't put them on when no one is home and walk around because you need someone to strap you in! Seriouly, I am looking at that as a positive!

Oh, I tried that Maggie on too, they have it an Lidia's in Copaigue..or Lilettes..??
