i dont know about dresses yet but i'm leaning towards Maggie sottero dresses- its in my album- are u guys doing low or high centerpieces?

I LOVE Maggies dresses too, I was leanign towards Suzanne, then Chantilly, but wasn't 100% in love with eithe for certain reasons...I was set on the corset back, which most of hers have...so I was sticking to her dresses, then I decided to branch out and went to Demetrios...well this dress isn't corset but everything else makes up for it so it sits well with me...

besides, with corset backs you can't put them on when no one is home and walk around because you need someone to strap you in! Seriouly, I am looking at that as a positive!

Oh, I tried that Maggie on too, they have it an Lidia's in Copaigue..or Lilettes..??

how did u like the dress- i also like demetrios also!!! all these decisions!

For me, it was too much dress, I think it was a bit heavy, I need something lighter because I have a bad back.

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

VYC BRIDES-VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THIS...

FH and I were on the fence about CH music (hiring a band) thinking it might be $$$ wasted. When we dropped off our 2nd pymnt in July we spoke with Bill about this. THEY CAN NOT PIPE MUSIC INTO THE DOWNSTAIRS CH ROOM. Not sure if they can in the upstairs room. He said that if you want music you can bring in an ipod and set it up with your own mini speakers or have a radio boom box (not my style). They are not set up to pipe in music from other rooms.

With this, we hired a jazz trio. It wasn't that much extra $$$ anyway.

Hmmmm. Which room do you mean? Hemingway or Regency?

I guess I will double check with Guilio . I called yesterday and he assured me that they could pipe music into the Hemingway room. Thanks for the heads up !

The larger room downstairs. Definitely call and double check with Bill. I really wanted live music at the CH and FH thought it was a waste of $$$ so I was glad Bill said that they couldn't pipe music in, in-front of FH

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Does anyone know if VYC has an aisle runner? If not, do you know how long the aisle is for an outside ceremony? I'm thinking this may be my next research project.

When I booked Bill said that is something that we would get from our limo driver Things may have changed since then (Feb). I think I am going to have one made anyway.

I would call Bill to make sure that they do/do not have the ability to pipe in music into your CH room before you do anything. When I spoke to him in July he said the didn't but things might have changed. If you want live music there are lots of options. I went to a wedding last year where they had a singer playing an acustic guitar which was really nice. I don't think they paid more than $300 for him. We're having a jazz trio for around $700. FM me if you want more info
