FYI:

Hey gals! I saw a post a few days ago about CH centerpieces that made me think..so I emailed Bill.

I asked him if they provide anything on the CH tables. I was thinking of just a votive on each table and maybe some rose petals. Bill said that they will have a votive on each table, but if I wanted rose petals I would have to provide them.

Tatum, IMO the rooms and the view are soooo gorgeous I wouldn't waste $$$ on CH CP's. The votives are fine and my florist is not charging to scatter some petals on the tables.

yes you are and I think I am second I am under 300 days. I am not thinking about the CH room, I am so excited because I am having astring quartet for ceremony and CH hour .

I think we discussed this but where are you getting married? There or at a chuch and which one?

We are getting married at a church. We haven't picked it yet. FH's father is a pastor so he will be doing the ceremony, he went around to churches to see which one he will have the most leway with for perfroming the ceremony. His church is too far for us. So we will either be in the Methodist church on DPA or one in Lindenhurst...

FH is jewish and I'm catholic so to make things easy we're just getting married there. I always wanted to get married on the water though so VYC was perfect.

Hi,
I'm a new VYC bride - booked this week. I AM SOOOO PSYCHED!!!!! I am thinking of a having candle centerpieces but I wonder if it would have any real effect in the upstairs room in the afternoon. My dinner reception should start in late afternoon... the room is so bright already... do you think candles wouldn't have that candlelit romantic effect - which is what i want?

I saw another girls' album and loved some of these candle cp's - the last is my absolute favorite... What do you guys think?

I also don't know which color flowers I will go for because I started out liking lavendar and it seems like I'm not going to like that after all.. so what do you guyes think would be the best spring color for the upstairs room?... What do you guys think?

Hey Precious! Welcome to the thread!

I think all the CP's are so pretty, but I personally like the last one the best. You have a good point, I am not sure how much the candles will be noticed during the day so I think that the cala lily has the most drama to it and will look great without candles for a day event!

Sorry I didn't post sooner.
I just got married at the VYC on 10/6. There are pics in my album that I believe was posted here already. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer.
